Hey guys, my application turned to "forwarded to screening committee" today. Does anyone know how long it takes for it to be officially under review? I completed my secondary app on 7/14 and I have all my LORs in and my CASPer.

Did they email you that your app was being forwarded to the screening committee?

I haven't received any e-mails from UIC admissions. They never notified me of any updates on my application. I even e-mailed them 2 days ago and still have not gotten any response.
 
Has anyone received any emails from them? I submitted 7/22 and every checkbox is checked on their site, but no confirmations or anything. I didn't even get a receipt from them, had to check my bill to make sure it got charged.

Online it says "Your letters are under manual review for fulfillment of our requirement of either 3 faculty , 2 faculty and 1 research mentor, or a composite health professions advisory committee letter."
 
I've also reached out to them via email regarding my application, but no response.
 
My app was just updated to "Your application is under consideration by the screening committee." It was previously "Your application was forwarded to the screening committee" for a few days. Hopefully this means my app is moving through quickly. I'm IS cGPA 3.82 MCAT 513

Did you receive an email?
 
If anyone else is not currently enrolled in school and entered a description in the text box next to it to describe your current activities, is it showing up when you review your secondary?

For some reason, mine doesn't show up when I review, so I'm afraid it won't show up when I submit.
 
so, you don't get any emails if your status updates?
I'm still stuck in manual review of recommendation letters.
Anyone know how long this process takes?

Nope no e-mails. They still haven't responded to the e-mail I sent a few days ago. It is now day 3

Mine showed up in my "review" tab. I've never had that issue before but I was complete a week and a half ago

I think for me it took around 5 business days.

when did you submit? i feel like mine has been "forwarded to screening committee" forever

Is that after "We have received three letters on your behalf, we are in the process of reviewing them."? I finally moved onto that message after being on "We are waiting on 3 faculty letters or 2 faculty and 1 advisor" for about week.
 
is anyone else unable to submit? i finished the essays but it doesn't have the checkmark on the dashboard so I cannot submit.

I received my secondary on 7/12 and did not have to redo my secondary. However I just looked and it looks like I submitted 7/19, not 7/14 like I said in previous posts. All the secondaries are melting together 🙁

Hmmm interesting. This whole process is a crapshoot
 
I completed and submitted my secondary on 7/12. It was never returned to me. My application was forwarded to the screening committee on 7/27.

My application status currently says: "Your application has been forwarded to the screening committee." Does this status change when they're actually reviewing my app?

I believe it changes to under review. but I'm not sure. Mine is still in "forwarded to the screening committee".

My app has this message: "Your application is under consideration by the screening committee."

When did you have your secondary complete by? Mine has the same message and I was complete 7/19
 
Would it be weird to talk about overcoming a challenge for the stressful situation prompt?

I'm not really sure but I talked about a diversity challenge about how I had to deal with a language barrier when going back to my home country.
