Thanks, that makes it just a tab better. Too much stress as I am basically wait-listed for interview or my app is hiding under a rock somewhere. Applied to 32 schools and 2 R's....

Same boat here, just more Rs, and one post interview invite despite me interviewing really well (I got feedback)

Unfortunately, you'll probably fall into the January interview category since I think they only interview OOS with strong ties before January. But, the good news is that you don't really have to worry about hearing back in the meantime. No news is good news at this point 🙂

From KUSOM's website: "Kansas resident applicants and applicants who have very strong Kansas ties are the first to be reviewed and considered for interview. Because of the large number of nonresident files to review and the relatively few interview positions available to nonresidents, interview invitations to nonresidents are not extended until January, usually for late January interview dates."
 
It seemed that they wanted diverse or interesting OOS candidates and not necessarily the most high achieving. Can anyone talk about the profile of their OOS candidates?

Oh bummer! I really hope they can reschedule! I'm also interviewing on the 15th, group A.

It's very conversational from my experience! But it is dependent on who you get for your interview, cause I got one ethics question whereas others in my group got none or three different ones.
 
Anyone who interviewed the first week of Oct heard back yet? I’m diligently checking the mail...but nothing.

I interviewed Oct. 1 and nothing here, either. They said we’d hear back within 3-4 weeks but it’s been well past that at this point. So who knows. I had a friend interview Oct. 2 and he said they told him they wouldn’t hear back until around Thanksgiving. Not really sure what to expect at this point.

I interviewed oct 23 and Sandy said they were not through all of the first week of october people. We were told we wouldn't hear til the first week or so in December. Hopefully you guys will get something soon!
 
anyone here aware of their post interview acceptance rate?
They seem to be really conservative.
 
Anyone that is supposed to attend an interview tomorrow heard anything about the weather affecting interviews? I know KU's main campus in Lawrence and the Edwards campus in Overland Park have closed for tomorrow

Current student: they haven’t shut down KUMC yet. As far as we have been told, everything is a go.

Interviewed here a couple weeks ago, stats were similar to what u/Kipani linked above in the spreadsheet. Was told they interview about 560, and accept around 230 for the 211 spots in the class.

Interviewed Oct 1 (their interview day first day) and they still haven’t released any acceptance decisions for our group yet. Although they said the email should be coming sometime this week.

Edit: just got an email about 20 minutes ago saying I’m accepted!

Just received email 15 mins ago, delayed til March (interview group was late october).
