Does anyone know when the second wave of acceptances will be awarded? Last year 12/17. How many accepted in first wave? Hope to not have to wait until March-April.

Kracin’s reply to you earlier in this thread answers all of these questions.

1) No one knows for sure when to expect the second wave. Last year the acceptances were mid november, mid december, end of january, end of february, then more frequently march + april. The mid november wave has gone out, itll probably be right before christmas that the next wave does (though this is only my guess)

2) Baylor accepts more students per wave as the cycle goes on. It is likely that the class is not very full right now.

3) No. All interviewees are considered during each wave (barring the interview on the week of the wave)

There is no way to know for sure about the next wave of acceptances, nor how many acceptances were awarded. No one can tell you that here on SDN, because only Baylor knows, and they’re not giving out that information.

This whole process is a waiting game. It sucks, yes. But we just have to be patient.

I interviewed in August and JUST got it. It's just an automatic mailer. Really guys, nothing to worry about

Lol I'm just speculating, and just because someone else gets into an amazing school like Baylor now doesn’t mean I can't get in later in the cycle. In the end, it’s probably a meaningless email, but who knows?

I have been very fortunate this cycle! Baylor is a “top choice” of mine and has been for a while.

This may be all just a coincidence but I have two missed calls about 50 minutes apart from the Texas Children’s main phone number and I can’t think of any reason TX Children’s would call me except for the fact that they are associated with Baylor. I called back but need an extension and the number did not leave a voicemail. Can someone who got an admission tell me if the number they got the call from was TX children’s or not so that I can save myself the panicking just because they’re calling me with the wrong number for a patient or something haha

I got a call from the dean and it said Baylor Medical Center on my caller ID, so it seems quite possible that yours is good news!!

Last year it looks like in December they spread out the calls across three consecutive days (I waste way too much time looking at old threads). But who knows what will happen.

I also interviewed that day. I wouldn’t worry because they said most people find out in the coming year!

On their website under important dates it says they have interviews until Feb.
