That is going to be a horribly long wait lol :/
They'll explain it at your interview day, but, FWIW, approximately 10% of interviewees per interview block are accepted after their interview (obviously after the committee reviews them), the bottom 33% of that interview block is rejected, and the rest are put on hold until march in a ranked order. Once interviews are complete, they go back to the rank list and start inviting until they fill then overfill by a bit (I think up to 230? actual class size is ~211 I believe) then activate the waitlist from wherever the cutoff was on the rank list there. The majority of acceptances are in march.

JanuaryDoes anyone know when OOS students may hear back regarding II?
Great to hear! Anything unexpected throughout the day?The interviewers were extremely nice and conversational. Going to be a long couple weeks to hear the result..
Nope, everything went smoothly. Plus the other people interviewing are incredibly nice as well.Great to hear! Anything unexpected throughout the day?
October interviews should be going out right? Since they invite 3 weeks before
Yep! I got my II on Friday for the October 1st interview date, so they should be on there way out for RD now.
Nice! When were you complete?
I think very unlikely. They really prioritize in state, as required by law.How likely is it that KU will invite OOS students for a date before January?
If you have a strong kansas tie, you may receive one before January I believe. How likely is it that KU will invite OOS students for a date before January?
Nothing hereHas anyone who interviewed EDP gotten an email yet???
Maybe they won’t tell us todayNothing here
That could be. I was going based off what the interview packet had in it that there would be emails today, but you could be correctMaybe they won’t tell us today
Nope maybe they forgot about usDid anyone end up hearing anything for EDP?
No, I don’t think it has any bearing on your campus selection!I have received an II for the Wichita campus! Oct 24th!
I am curious though, does the interview campus play any role in the campus you attend if you are accepted? I have very strong ties to the KC campus and listed so on my app (grad school at the KC campus and my SO is earning her PH.D. in the IGPBS program). I'm wondering if I am interviewing in Wichita to reduce conflict of interest, which seems quite reasonable.
Thank you for any answers!
When were you guys complete?
Complete 8/5When were you guys complete?
Are you all IS?Complete 8/5
Yep. In state. A friend of mine who is OOS but went to college here for 4 years got an II today, as well. If that helps. Are you all IS?
I know most OOS apps wont hear until January or December, but I really love this schools program and have strong family ties so I am really hoping they show me some love!

Yes they doDoes anyone know if KU offers scholarships?
I interviewed yesterday (10/22/19). It was very conversational and the people who interviewed me were extremely polite. They mostly just talked about me as an applicant and asked me the generic questions like "why do you want to be a doctor?" and "why KU?". We talked about my clinical experiences as well. I did not get any ethical questions; however, I talked to the other applicants after the interview and almost every one of them did receive an ethical question, so be prepared for those. Best of luck to you!Can anyone who has interviewed this year tell us about it? Conversational/low stress or more question and answer? Do they focus on one subject over others?
Thanks!
Just finished mine! It sounds like we had extremely similar interviewers. Others in my group weren’t so lucky. This is going to be a long wait!I interviewed yesterday (10/22/19). You might want to call and talk to them about it. They usually discuss state ties if you graduated from a Kansas high school and then moved away, are from another state but will (or did) graduate from a Kansas college, or if you (or possibly a parent?) pays income taxes in Kansas. Those are the different scenarios I heard them mention at various open house presentations in previous years but it might be worth giving them a call. Good luck!Hey guys, it is probably a little late for this question and I posted earlier about OOS applicants (Congrats to those of you who did hear earlier), but I assumed I had ties but I am not totally certain anymore if it counts - my dad graduated from KU and grew up in the surrounding area. He also visits twice a year to give lectures to students in one of their graduate schools. My dad is a huge inspiration to me so I'd love to attend his alma mater - but does this even count as a state tie or nah?
