Accepted! Interviewed 1/22 but didn’t get any mail on the week that the survey email was sent.. Decided to call Ms. Harris about it today, and she emailed me the acceptance letter. All of the suspense and waiting was worth it!

Same..Still waiting for an II too :/
A friend of mine is a second year here and she says they are very slow with the entire interview/acceptance process. I'm not sure how long she waited for an II but she did say she waited 5 months from interview to acceptance. I'm local to Memphis and have heard if you get a secondary, you're guaranteed an interview. (Confirmed by admission) so I guess we just keep waiting for our turn...which sucks! Lol

After an interview, did y’all send actual physical thank you letters or just a thank you email to your interviewers?

I received an invitation to interview yesterday for next week, but it says there is an interview in Memphis on 2/18 and one in Knoxville on 2/20. Can anyone confirm if there are two separate interviews in different locations or if we are supposed to choose one?

Are you located in Knoxville? People who are in TN who arent in Memphis will do one interview in Memphis and the other closest to you. There are two separate interviews during the day regardless if you do them in Memphis or a combo of Memphis and Nashville/Chat/Knox

I'm located in Nashville so I found it odd that I would have what seems like one interview in Memphis and one in Knoxville. I've tried to reach out to Diane Harris but the number provided in the email and online goes straight to voicemail, and she hasn't gotten back to my email. Know of any one else I could reach out to or another means to contact Diane?

Maybe Dean Strother? If I were you I would go to both. Maybe there's a reason for them to send you to Knoxville. I would think, that it is definitely not a choice of one or the other.

I had a similar situation. Give Diane time and she will get back to you. I think it just takes her awhile to get through all the emails. She gave me the option to keep my schedule or change it to both on the same day in Memphis. I decided to keep the regional one.

Just got invited to interview next week. If you see this post and have already interviewed, please feel free to leave me a helpful tip on what to expect in the interviews!

Anyone know when financial aid comes out? Hoping for at least a partial scholarship. Would LOVE to not be >$180K in debt after I've graduated lmao

Do we need to do anything else besides complete the FAFSA to be considered for aid?

From what I heard on interview day and info sent to me from Diane, no. They'll take a look at FAFSA and your application for any scholarships and need-based aide

When people said they got chocolate along with their acceptance letter, I didn’t realize that it would be a chocolate bar that’s the size of my face!
Was the letter sent by priority or first class? Brother Strother told me overnight, but that doesnt appear to be the case.

Were interviews more on the casual/convo side or actual tough questions? Have my interview on the 17th and am trying to gauge how best to prepare.
They were casual in tone and mostly just conversation, but for me there were a few tough questions sprinkled in. Be prepared to discuss anything about yourself, and remember they are not out to get you at all.

My acceptance packet doesn’t have any priority or first class delivery label on it. From the date the admissions office sent it, it took 2 weeks for me to receive it. But I REALLY think it depends on the postal service since other people from my interview date got theirs in 3-4 days.

As for the chocolate, my box had a priority label on it. They were sent separately from each other.

Thanks for checking!

Looks like we will be the first class to have a pass/fail Step 1 score so far. I'm a little nervous. How do y'all feel about it?

I'm interested to see how UTHSC will respond, if anything. Wondering if the NBME will give us a sample test to see if there's anything new. And are we still gonna have an 8 week dedicated period?
