@Medicineandlife idk if you're still lurking on SDN, but can you shed light on second look? Was it useful?
Does anyone know if they want our titers to be quatitative? They don’t specify on their immunization requirements

I'll most likely be there too.Is anyone on here planning to go to the second look day on April 18?

It is for applicants holding an acceptanceIs this for people on hold or accepted students or both? Is it considered helpful to go to it if you're on hold?
I've been going through the past threads and it seems like others have gotten emails, and calls. Does anybody know if they call when they want to get you off of the hold list?
That's later than I had expected. I thought by the end of April they would've finalized itIn previous cycles, they have called to inform people of that. I wouldn’t expect any movement from the hold list until early May. For reference, last year about 20-30 people came off of the hold list. Before the new AAMC “traffic rules”, it was into the 70s.

In Novemberi am too, when was your secondary submitted
Do you mean the waitlist? The hold list is made before the waitlist, and there is a good chunk of people that get accepted from hold right before the waitlist is made in late April. In previous cycles, they have called to inform people of that. Can someone explain hold list verses waitlist with UT? I got placed on the hold list and am just not really sure what the differences are. How many people do they put on the hold list?
Awful. I keep hearing that they're slow with the application/interview process. But if it's true that they only send invites out until march for interviews in April, they're gonna be pretty backed up next month with interviews!I submitted mine first day of October and I know a couple of people who did October as well and we haven't heard back either, that's why I asked. I guess we have a little over a month to get an ii ......
Also, will this affect upcoming interviews or the ones that have yet to be scheduled?Got an email that all university-sponsored events are cancelled at UTHSC beginning March 23rd due to COVID-19. Does that include second look?
Oh heck here we go.......Also, will this affect upcoming interviews or the ones that have yet to be scheduled?
They've said thus far that the campus is still open, faculty and staff still have to report as usual (RIP me), but they also said all university-sponsored events will be cancelled starting March 23rd. Since the interview is just a small gathering (i don't think it qualifies as an "event"), I'm not sure that they'll cancel since the campus is still open, but I can't say for sure. Here's hoping they don't cancel - I'm still waiting for mine lolAlso, will this affect upcoming interviews or the ones that have yet to be scheduled?
May work in your favor. They may feel so bad for this, they'll give you an A to make up for this. Good luck with the virtual interview! And congratulations!I finally received an II yesterday, and today they followed up with a cancelation of said in-person interview. To be substituted by a phone or video interview that may be scheduled for a date other than my original interview date.
Thank you!!!May work in your favor. They may feel so bad for this, they'll give you an A to make up for this. Good luck with the virtual interview! And congratulations!
Yes! Info about the Facebook page and lots of other info is in the recent email Diane Harris sent to students with acceptances.Does anyone know if there is a Facebook page where accepted students can meet each other/find roommates and such?
Does anyone know what will happen with future IIs i.e. whether they will continue to be scheduled and just be virtual/phone interviews instead of in person?
It seems they may be virtual until further notice. But I don’t say that with complete confidence. I’m assuming.
I'm hoping this is the case! If anyone else gets a new virtual II, please let us know 🙂 Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! It seems they may be virtual until further notice. But I don’t say that with complete confidence. I’m assuming.
