2020-2021 Baylor

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I heard the 20th. But we'll know when someone here says they prematched
Baylor is not a part of TMDSAS so they don't do "pre-matches". It would just be a normal acceptance.

Hi y'all, I've got Dumb Brain and was waiting this whole time for an email from Baylor to start the secondary. Prewrote and everything. Just found this thread and read their updated admissions process and am feeling mighty silly.

Anyways, do you guys think I should submit said secondary or is it laughibly, absurdly late?
Thanks fam

Baylor does send an email after receiving your AMCAS about secondary. Did you not receive it?

Please check their deadline and make sure that its not past the deadline. If not past the deadline, the decision is totally yours. Most people would think and say that it is probably too late, but if you have a strong application and / or a skill that Baylor is looking for, and you are ok with affordability - why not?

I never did. Just completed the Supplementary online on 10 July. But I also haven't received an II, so I don't know if that's related or not.

Dean of admissions ust called to tell me my refrigerator is running. No word on my acceptance status as of yet.
Wow the dean must have some cool technology to know that your fridge is running!

Day not done yet..Keep hoping. Mostly no R's based on prior history. But hope for A's.

Whats the instate post II acceptance rate? I don't trust the 55% I see on the Google sheets doc...

Hard to know for sure.

It would make sense that in-state yields are better than out of state yields. Baylor does have an IS bias, but they still hand out quite a few interviews slots to OOS applicants.

They mentioned ~880 interview slots for ~330 offers. So it's still hovering at around 40% overall.

Oh, nice. I see they have matriculants but not number of total accepted applicants. UTSW draws a lot of potential Baylor matriculants.
Yeah - I don't know Baylor's yield. Crude assumption is that they offer 50% more?

What I have seen has 811 interviews to 311 offers to 186 matriculants. No break by IS vs OS

If the numbers here are correct, given 400 OOS interviews go out, and 25% get the A. Then 480 instate interviews go out, and 230ish A's get offered. About 45-50%

LM 81, WARS 89, IS;
no II yet, sent an update already. Should I give up hope? Beating myself up for not EDing Baylor.

I have a missed call from the Houston area code with no voicemail...my mind says it's a spam call but my heart says it's not, lol

edit: called back. pretty sure it was a spam number based on the robotic "we are not available" message I got :c

Anyone know if they accept updates?
Searched this thread and found this
According to Baylor's admissions FAQs, you may send UPDATES pre-interview but not post-interview. You may send a LOI post-interview, but no more updates. However, it will probably be/seem more reasonable and rational to do so a little later.

"May I send updates to my application?
Yes, if you have not received an invitation to interview at Baylor then you can send updates to [email protected]. If or when you receive an invitation to interview, updates to your application will not be accepted. Those who have interviewed may send "letters of intent" to the VIA email address provided during interview days, but not updates to their application."
