Did you interview? For the most part they're pretty silent and do not update you after the interview, unless you were accepted or waitlisted. I interviewed on Oct. 23 and it's been pretty radio silence since then. I've reached out to them asking about my application status/adcoms decision, and all I was told was that they do rolling admissions and if the adcom wants to contact me they will do so via email

I guess this would depend on who your interviewer is, but mine was really chill and somewhat converstional. I think they just want to get to know more about you and your experiences and why you're a good fit for their school.
 
I sent in a letter of interest and was informed that CUSM does NOT accept update letters, letters of interest, or letters of intent.

To those who interviewed already, did you have the q/a about curriculum the day before as well? Does that mean we can’t ask questions on interview day from our interviewers?

Yes, I also had the curriculum Q&A the day before but you can definitely ask questions on interview day. You can ask during the hour-long Q&A with students or you can ask your interviewer at the end if you still have time!

My link didn't pop up until I finished signing everything, but then it wouldn't connect to Paypal so I used a credit card and am hoping for the best
 
My DocuSign email had a weird large formatting that basically made the link to docusign appear out of frame. I can't reach it lol. Did yall experience this/find a solution? If not I'll email them.

Nvm. For any future people who struggle with it on Gmail, my workaround was CLICKING FAST before it auto-reformats and disappears.
 
For anyone who did an interview in Dec, did you guys hear anything from the admission committee? I saw on the website that the decision will be released within 3 weeks but still haven't heard anything yet.. thanks!

I interviewed in very early December and asked when we would hear back and was told "on a rolling basis" and "as soon as we possibly can". And someone above said they've been waiting since October so I'm not sure how well the 3-week turn-around is enforced.

Same thing happened to me but i wasn’t quick enough to click it. My link was still there just was located in the red portion of their logo that resized off the screen. It let me scroll over to it but it definitely took some time to find it
 
Is the turnaround time still estimated to be 3ish weeks? No one mentioned it in today’s session!
 
does anyone know if signing the DocuSign means that you will matriculate? or is it just accepting the acceptance?

I think benignradical might be right here. feels like i haven't heard about IIs being given out for quite some time now
 
I know of people who have IIs set for March or so, wouldnt be surprised if theyre filled until april

Last years thread showed the last few interviews of the cycle around then as well, Davis operates the same way with IIs given out per cancellations at this point

I wonder if UCR is in a similar situation As well...

I would love an interview from them. They sent secondaries out late though - November and even December.
 
has anyone who interviewed mid December received their admissions decision yet?
 
Hi I saw the email stating that we receive interview materials 2 weeks before the interview but I'm interviewing next week and haven't received anything yet... has anyone who is interviewing next week received the interview materials?

they sent my interview materials less than a week before my interview date, so don't stress
 
If you are intending to use GI Bill benefits to defray the cost of medical school, this university will not qualify until March 2022 at the earliest, but more likely the Fall term of 2022.
 
Hi! Did anyone figure out if signing the DocuSign means you're committing to enroll or not? I was a little confused by the wording on the email and just wanted to make sure. But also if they're only giving 14 days to sign I would assume not?

It said somewhere in there that the deposit is refundable, so I took that as signing is just saving your seat and you would commit to enroll later if you choose to matriculate here, but the wording is just unnecessarily confusing imo

I emailed them and they said it is non-binding! We would utilize the choose your school tool on amcas to finalize anything in April
 
Hi friends, after the stress of the interview faded I realized I never asked some important questions LOL. Does anyone know if the exams are NBME-based or in-house? What area do most students currently live in and what’s the best way to find roommates? 🙂 Also just out of curiosity, is there gonna be a FB page or groupme for people later?

A current M1/M2 can probably get a little more specific than I can but here's somewhat of an answer.

Exams are both NBME and in-house with each being worth a different percentage of your overall grade for the block/system. Usually the in-house has been worth a little more than the NBME.

A lot of students live right next to the school in the surrounding neighborhoods, Redlands and Loma Linda. As far as finding roommates shooting a message in the CUSM general student group is probably the best idea. I think people usually drop invites to the page here on SDN a little closer to Spring/Summer for accepted students.
