What does being "on hold" mean? As in on hold until they review you again for interview offer?

Means good enough not to get outright rejected/ignored but not good enough to get an outright interview. From past years, sounds like most people who get put on a hold don't get off of it. Still means there is a chance though!

A hold email isn't the end all be all. Committees revisit applications throughout the cycle.

for the people who are on hold, were you ever under review or did you go straight from complete to hold?
Do we know how they score applicants? Are they holistic?

Has anyone tried contacting Drexel? As soon as I call the number on their website, it goes right to Voicemail and says the office is closed. I emailed them some two weeks back and haven't received a response, so I'm thinking about emailing them again but I don't wanna come off as annoying.. pls advise lol

Generally, if I don't get an email response within one week, I email again. However, I'd also think about your reason for contacting them--I wouldn't suggest it if it is to get a status update.

It’s early on in the cycle and Drexel is a low yield school. It takes time for them to review everyone( they only have so many reviewers) and nobody but them knows the algorithm in which they review( though I suspect somewhat stat based). It’s normal to want an update, but don’t paint yourself in a bad light by coming off as impatient :/

I remember I didn't even get a hold or review email last cycle. I'm pretty sure they didn't even get to me. But at least they let me down easy *cough**cough*

I believe so, I was complete 7/16 and have the same status, just seeing where I fall on the II/R line. I think it just means they haven't gotten to it/haven't made a decision since they seem to not be reviewing in order
