It means you are potentially going to receive an admissions decision soon, probably an II. I don't think FAU sends our pre-II R's so I think it's a good sign.
 
Does anyone know what "Preliminary Review Assigned" means as I have been in here for a bit now?

Hopefully, once you're preliminary review is completed, you'll get an interview invite if I understand correctly! Although I wouldn't know for sure as I am only on admissions screening complete!

anyone notice that on MSAR, it says up to 30% matriculants may be from out of state, and yet 60% of last year's class was from out of state?
 
I'm interviewing here next week and the FAU COM Curriculum Overview video link isn't working for me... it says "a network error" has occured. is that what happened to any of you?

gahhh still stuck on admissions screening in progress....and I've submitted two updates...kinda concerned my app is never getting reviewed?

So how does one go from preliminary review assigned to completed and how long does it usually take?
 
for those put on alternate list were you emailed this update? just checked my portal but I'm still stuck on "admissions screening in progress" *sigh*
 
hi sorry is this is a stupid question but is "alternate list" after y'all interviewed? So essentially its like a waitlist?

At the interview they give you a specific date and time decisions will come out on and when the website will be updated

Edit: And “alternate list” is what they call their waitlist

Just checked and it just changed to "Admission Screening Complete," been done since early early August so everyone keep some hope that it will change eventually. Whether it is good or bad that it took some time I am unsure of.
 
Received snail mail of my alternate list placement today
 
If I am in "Prelim Review Complete", will I get a invitation to interview soon after it changes? Mine just changed so I was wondering the timeline for the next step. If I do not get a invite soon, does that mean I did not get one?
 
Out of those of you who got placed on the AL, did you receive an email indicating so along with scholarship information?

Anyone know how long it takes to go from preliminary review assigned to completed? I have been there for 2+ months now... Not sure what it means?

Lmao it means you’re a lot further along in the process than most!! But in all seriousness, no one knows how long It takes to go from one “phase” to the next. Many who have been in prelim review have gotten II’s tho, so keep praying!
 
Does anyone know if they accept PDF updates? I would like to include my fall grades in an update but I only see the character box.
