Alternate as well. Does anyone know from previous years when there is waitlist movement at this school?

When I applied in 2018 for 2019 there was. Remember if you’re waitlisted you can send updates so def consider if there’s anything you can improve in your app between now and July and send it to them

Congrats to those who received the acceptance calls tonight! That’s so awesome! Shine bright like a diamond!!!

Soooo they’re probably not going to send more II’s?
They are, they hold seats for later interview dates. They interview into February
dang really? Where did you get this info?

Files are not reviewed in any particular order. Many factors contribute to the timing of review of a given applicant, so someone who interviewed in November may get a decision before someone who interviewed in October. Please be assured that the application process is specifically designed so that the time an application is reviewed for a final decision is not a factor in the decision. Seats in the entering class remain available through the end of the application cycle.

thank you for sharing!

did many of you admitted students select a certificate program? Not sure if that puts people at an advantage over those who did not

Man, I realy hoping having applied in early October isn’t what locks me out of an interview...

Reading their website and found
"All College of Human Medicine students receive their first two years of education at either the main MSU campus in East Lansing or the Grand Rapids campus. Half of the CHM entering class is placed at the East Lansing campus and half is placed at the Grand Rapids campus.
The Office of Admissions makes all placement decisions. Preclinical campus placement information will typically be sent out in April."

Does anyone know if we at least get to provide a campus preference? Or do they just place us at one campus or the other?

During interviews they said you put your preference and most people get their top pick!

When do people get off the waitlist for MSU?
Last year I was on the waitlist and did not get off, but waitlist movement can start at the end of April or beginning of May. I know that they tend to over accept students so movement from the waitlist is iffy.

I did not, however, a friend of mine did. They found out they were accepted to CHM on Monday, but have not received a decision regarding the certificate program yet. Hope this helps!

What do they say at the post interview session? Is it worth going? Also do they get back to you within a month? Or is it taking longer for some people?

They just answer any lingering questons anyone has during the post-interview session. I went just in case there was information shared I didn't know haha

How long does it take to get a notification from them regarding II? I have a friend who was rejected in <14 days.

MSU is very straight forward with their admissions process. I do not believe they review in any order

Man I hope so. Cuz like I have survived a few pre-II rejection waves but this just plays even more with my emotions! Have literally not gotten any emails from any schools since sending (latest) secondaries back in September...
