I'm so happy to have an acceptance but am extremely worried about OOS tuition as a low-income student. Anyone else feeling the same way? How are you dealing?
Hey, I'm not OOS, but also low-income and feeling weary about med school finances. I've been dealing with my worries by learning how others in our shoes managed. The debt is scary, but it is reassuring to see physicians paying it off not too long after training.

I hope you get in somewhere IS with a lower cost of attendance, but we will make it through. Stay strong.

How long until after the successful background check did it take to get a formal acceptance email? I got something about some accepted student zoom sessions but nothing implying a formal acceptance.

Took me one day but I think they send it out in batches since multiple ppl reported full accepts on the same day around the same time!

Checked my portal. Was put on hold sometime today. I was waitlisted after my Interview last year but never made it off. Not sure if I was negatively affected by not filling out the self assessment for reapplicants.

Ahhh okay thanks a lot! I was just concerned bc it had been a week since others said it was a day.

This is one of my top choice schools and idk how to feel about being placed on hold this late in the game. I guess it's better than an R, but I wonder if it means the cycle is going on a bit later?

Yes- I was complete mid-September. IS. Not sure what to think about it 😕 I do not really understand why some people are placed on hold, while other's are left in silence at this point in the cycle.
My theory is that people with higher stats are reviewed first; at the top of the pile.

Anything we should look over/read/watch before our information session besides what was shared in the email regarding it?
