The first interview invites seemed to come out on August 6th for last cycle and The first actual interviews were in September

I would assume a similar timeline so expect them to start rolling in the week after next

Do you know if they are all supposed to be virtual this cycle?

I am going to list NY campus as my first choice (willing to go to either), and I know this sounds dumb (this is one of the first secondaries I'm working on, so still a bit new to it all) but I'm unsure of what I should say for the "1-2 factors most important to you in choosing where you pursue your education" as dumb as it sounds, I made my whole list based off of where I'd be most likely accepted; what are some factors that made current students choose NY over AR? What were some things y'all looked for in medical schools, and do you feel like NYIT (either campus) has those things? any help appreciated!

I wrote about looking for opportunities to serve communities during medical school beyond the classroom. Take a look at some of the extra training programs and other opportunities the school offers... something should resonate.
 
For the secondary, I submitted my payment via Paypal and the instructions said I would be redirected to another page, but it did not. Is your application submitted after you pay? It never gave me a chance to "submit" the app, and it looks like I can still edit the questions. I'm so confused.
 
I know it is not required for NYITCOM, but how much of a big deal is it that I do not have a physician letter of rec?

You shouldn't be able to edit after you submit

The same thing happened to me. I entirely closed the browser, then logged back in to make sure it wouldn't let me edit. You should get a receipt soon. Shouldn't be a problem.

For some reason, DO programs seem to value a physician letter more so than MD. For many it is outright stated that it's required, while the rest typically say "strongly advised." I don't know anyone that has applied without one, so practically speaking I can't offer much insight.

Has anyone reached out to admissions? I sent them an email over a week ago and have not received a response. I tried calling and they said to just email.
 
Primary Submitted: 7/10/20
Secondary Received: 7/10/20
Secondary Submitted: 7/18/20
Marked Complete and being reviewed for a possible interview invitation: 7/27/20

Did they send you an email saying you were being reviewed for an interview invitation? I got a complete email back near the end of June after I submitted my secondary so idk if this is something different

I got the complete email after I submitted my secondary as well however I was emailing back and forth with the assistant director of admissions as I was missing some items and he sent me an email saying I was complete after I got them all in.
 
Yeah, I'm in the same boat as y'all. I got the same email as that screenshot a couple weeks ago.
 
Anyone know when they send II invites? Still under review.

Hey. Were you able to resolve this? same thing happened to me and it's been 24 hrs so I'm wondering if things should appear differently after logging in or it's okay that I can still edit. I received confirmation of pymt from Paypal so not sure why it doesn't appear submitted.

Hey, yeah I just left it alone as is and received a "Supplemental Application is now complete" email within 2 days, submitted Sat night and received email Mon morning. It seems like the Paypal payment will "complete" your application but itll look like you can edit it until they process it and send you that email. I would recommend waiting maybe another day or 2, and if you still dont get that email, give them a call.
 
I received the supplement 6/30 and turned it around before the July 4 weekend. Heard from the school on 7/7 that my letters of recommendation were missing. Turned out this was due to a glitch at my undergrad pre-health advising in sending the packet to DO schools. These were transmitted 7/13. Emailed to inform the school of the glitch and to confirm the transmission date but have not received a response to date.

Hey everyone I was just curious if anyone else had FAP and how long it took them to send your fee assistance code for the secondary after forwarding the email?
 
hey I forgot to do the application secondary within the 10 day limit, is that bad? I didn't notice it in the original email. doing it now

I wouldn't stress it all but do try and submit it asap. It says in the email that they "recommend" a 10 day turnaround so just try and keep it as close to that as possible.

I prioritized doing my MD apps first and now its been over a month since I received it, but I have a very competitive application so do u think I should still do it

still do it. a month is pushing it but it's still not the end of the world. it's also still very early in the cycle for DO. just don't half-ass it and turn it in soon. the worst they can say is no. 🙂

Just a follow-up. Emailed admissions last week. Received response tonight (Sunday!), in direct response to my email, advising that my file is complete and under review with adcom. Whew!

I got the Paypal receipt but never the email from NYITCOM themselves.
 
Anyone know the earliest that II's are sent out? 🙂

Did anyone receive info further than supplemental complete? Not sure if I should email asking for my status.
 
Supplemental complete 7/21/20 but was awaiting Letters of Rec. Not sure if they've been marked received yet, fingers crossed I'm excited for this school! Best of luck everyone
 
Has anyone been able to reach the admissions office? I emailed twice and no one has answered if my application is complete. I got an email a while ago that they didn't have my MCAT and never got a confirmation that they got it.

I’d call them. They usually answer and can look up and fix whatever on the phone. They’re super nice.

When I called, it said they aren't taking called and just to email. Did you call the admissions office?

Oh, sorry. I called them about a month ago about my LORs and they were super nice and really helpful about the application process in general.
 
Hello! I am trying to work on the secondary and wanted to know about how to answer the campus preference question. I am a low stats student. I would like to go to NY since I am closer to NY but it honestly does not matter as long as I get in either of them! how did everyone else respond to this question: based on your stats or based on where you really wanted to go? thanks
