Have yall got an email for November's Road to Matriculation stream yet

Just submitted my secondary to this school! A little late but OOS with strong ties (born in Michigan) and I fit the mission very strongly. Good luck to everyone interviewing and applying and congratulations to those who received acceptances!! 🙂

Does anyone know if we can get a campus tour of the med school facilities at both the Mount Pleasant and Saginaw campus?

Any current med students or locals that can share their insight on housing?

For housing, there are tons of options. The very closest you can get to CMED would be Graduate Housing, which is just across the parking lot from the medical school. It is managed by CMU. Another option is Health Professions Apartments (HPA1 and HPA2). These are apartments exclusively marketed to health professional students and are a very popular choice for medical students. This is a great way to live near classmates while still having your own space. They are super nice, but on the more expensive side for Mt. Pleasant if you are not planning on getting roommates. Here is the website link. (Health Professions Apartments 1). Otherwise, The Reserve, Copper Ridge, Tall Grass, and West Point Village are all good options.

During my interview with CMU they said that the admissions committee only meets once a month... I know they met around October 15th... does anyone know when the next meeting will be?

Do you know if the HPA apartments allow married couples? Or non-married couples?

I assume probably around the week of November 15th before people head out for the holidays.

Thank you so much for your detailed response - much appreciated 😀

Probably OOS? Not sure though - but they do specifically list the number of matriculated Canadians for each class.
I am Canadian and got the A.

I heard it’s a lot more difficult to get in as a Canadian!! Congrats!!! Do you mind sharing your interview date?

How did CMU invite everyone for their II, was it via email or phone call?

HPA allows married and non-married people to live there as far as I know. HPA fills up quickly so I'd reach out sooner than later if you're interested in living there!

Hey, does anyone know how CMU handles their waitlist?
CMED historically has A LOT of waitlist movement. Movement typically doesn't occur until after the AMCAS deadlines for commit to enroll, which I believe is traditionally April 30, but since this falls on a Saturday, it should be May 2, 2022 this cycle. We had a significant number of people come off the WL in our class, so being put on the WL is not a bad outcome whatsoever
