Can someone please post the secondary prompt? Seems like there is an optional one related to covid but I don't see the actual wording anywhere.
Thanks!
- (Optional) Recognizing that this past year was complicated for many reasons, please share any challenges and/or special circumstances that impacted your application beyond the commonly experienced disruptions (inability for in-person rotations, hospital experiences, in-person classes). (200 words)
- If you previously applied to medical school, briefly describe any experiences you have been part of since your previous application. (200 words)
I was about to say... It was right before your post. LolThanks!
don't really remember (it's on my home computer). LM 74, WARS 81-87Complete date?
I checked the box and clarified in one of the text boxes that I had completed AmeriCorps service. I thought it would be fine since AmeriCorps is technically the domestic version of Peace Corps. I got an II at the end of July so I would say go ahead and check the box, but make sure to give a short explanation.Hi, everyone, in the secondary, there is question asking if you Participated in the Peace Corps, Teach for America, or Watson Fellow, I am wondering if AmeriCorps count?

I wouldn't worry too much. The admissions committee will see that you completed AmeriCorps service in your primary application!Dang it now I wish I'd done that
I think you're fine. I did the 3 MM experiences because my logic is that these are for interviewers, not the admissions panel. Therefore, I pretty much re-worded my MM descriptions."Please briefly list your three (3) most significant extra-curricular/volunteer experiences (add one at a time)"
For prospective interviewees, are you reiterating your 3 most meaningful? 2 of my most meaningful were paid positions and the other was my paid research position. Does the fact that these were paid positions/research disqualify them from the prompt? Thoughts...?
Do you think it would be a bad idea idea to basically copy our MM from the primary? I really like how I said it and it's closed, but I don't want to look lazy LOL.I think you're fine. Also, one of my MM was my gap-year research position so I think you're fine. Worth noting that my other 2 were a nonclinical and a clinical volunteering activity though
I didn't copy word for word. I used the 700 char description as a basis but also threw in some stuff from the 1300 char MM part so it's not an exact copy.Do you think it would be a bad idea idea to basically copy our MM from the primary? I agree. I have complete 1 year AmeriCorps, and currently on my second year AmeriCorps, they can clearly see it in my primary. So I wouldn't worry about it too much!I wouldn't worry too much. The admissions committee will see that you completed AmeriCorps service in your primary application!
most schools don't go strictly in orderDo they go in order? Looking like an R
I sent mine to their individual emailsFor those who have interviewed, how did you send a thank you email to your interviewers? They give their contact info on the portal, but I wasn't sure if it would be better to email general admissions
I left it blank and received an interview. I was in a similar situation where my ECs were halted.for everyone who has received an interview, did you end up leaving the COVID-19 question blank if the only think that you were affected by was the halt in research? I personally dont feel right writing about that when there are much bigger issues people had, but I wanted to see if people who left it blank still got interviews?
Left it blank b/c all my issues were "typical" - volunteering halted, ECs halted, research job halted, etc.for everyone who has received an interview, did you end up leaving the COVID-19 question blank if the only think that you were affected by was the halt in research? I personally dont feel right writing about that when there are much bigger issues people had, but I wanted to see if people who left it blank still got interviews?
Submitted mine 7/11, received secondary 7/19. Maybe give it a few more days.Applied here about a week ago and still haven’t received a secondary. My stats are definitely high enough so I wasn’t screened out. Can anyone comment how long it took them to receive a secondary from the time they sent their primary?

a few days before the interview day, the "interview schedule" tab in your portal will populate with the names/times of your interviews.II today! LM 74, OOS
Anyone know how the individual interviews are scheduled? I scheduled the interview day which gives me the times for the group sessions but I don't see anything about times for the individual interview.
You do not get to choose your interview time. It is assigned. I had my interviews back to back, 8:30 AM and then 9:30. After, I had a short break and then attended the welcome/orientation and then the Group Ethical discussion.II today! LM 74, OOS

Thank you so much!!!!Sure. The pre-interview questions are:
Learning from others is enhanced in educational settings that include individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Please describe how your identity has impacted the development of your values and attitudes toward others, particularly those with values different from your own? (200 words)
The study and practice of medicine requires significant grit and determination in order to best care for patients. Please share with your interviewer a time when you needed to commit to resilience and/or flexibility in order to overcome a barrier. (200 words)
Lastly, you also need to enter your 3 most significant activities (100 word description for each of the three).
