The admissions people are very nice so I doubt it would negatively effect your application. But I think the waitlist is ranked, so I'm not sure how much good it could do.

I believe today is when all of the students narrow down to one school so that is when waitlist movements from schools should all start moving, if i am correct.

I wouldn't give up hope. South accepted 30 of the ~40 alternates last year

I have no idea. The waitlist is usually about 40 people, and they tend to take about 30 of those. 2 years ago, my friends who were on the waitlist with USA found out they got in on May 1st. But I don’t know anyone on the waitlist this year who has heard anything yet. I’m guessing they’re just being slow?

An acquaintance of mine from class was also on the waitlist. Apparently she got an email with acceptance last week on 5/3/22. She’s the only person I know on the waitlist that has heard anything.

I haven’t heard of anyone else coming off the waitlist either; however, the only people I know on the waitlist are fellow SDN commenters.
