I don't think so, the email says Please feel free to send a letter of intent if you remain genuinely interested in attending UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine. You can email it to [email protected].

It is weird that you didn't get it. I haven't sent an LOI

I just recently got accepted to UIW. I saw that the complex pass rate is 86%. Is it the first-time taker rate or is it the rate for the class? Also, is anyone else worried about the pass rate, and if there is OMS2 who can speak on how they prepare for the exam?

How's the pass rate at your other schools?
UIWSOM has been lower than the national avg. but it's something they are focusing on improving.

92% but they have a worse reputation than UIWSOM. And I have recently been offered an interview at another school with a 97% and I'm wondering if it is even worth interviewing because the only red flag at UIW is the comlex rate.

I also interviewed about a month ago at another school with better pass rates. I was alternated. I came off the waitlist at UIW last Monday and chose that over a brand new school I was accepted to months back in Kansas (they’re just going on their second class of students).
My best recommendation is to not sacrifice quality for quantity when you make your decision. I don’t think UIWSOM can be judged based on one set of numbers (which are the first time pass rates you’re referring to). The school has left a good impression on me since day one and they have learning specialists which I’ve heard are very involved.
If you’re worried about boards, join the prep book party (USMLE/COMLEX step 1 reviews which are currently sitting on my bedroom floor) 🫠

I was able to get off the WL of my state DO program, so I will be rescinding my A. I'm sad too, UIWSOM is amazing and I hope one of y'all gets my spot! You all deserve it 🙂
