asked them and they will have a virtual engagement day soon and will let us know dates/how to sign up via amcas. not sure if its for people who have interviewed or have an A but one of those 2

so is this invite actually an interview? the description makes it sound more like a get to know kinda arrangement, but its categorized as an interview.

When I read through the invite they specifically said it is not an interview but just a chance for us to get to know the community. The naming is confusing but they said the Kira assessment is our only interview
 
Did you guys get a complete email after submitting the secondary? Because I submitted yesterday and still haven't gotten an email...

did you add the school to your CASPER distribution list? that may be required to be complete
 
oh yeah I just got the confirmation email. It's nice that they're willing to reimburse us...
 
I was marked complete before adding Casper to my distribution list :whoa::thinking:
 
if someone knows how to access that info/has it screenshotted could you please post it? i forgot to save it before i signed up and now i can't see the info anymore
 
Got a response about reimbursements. They are sending them via mail to the address you provided. They told me to reach out again if I don’t receive it by Friday
 
does anyone know the two dates for the virtual engagement day? I scheduled mine but I can't figure out what day I signed up for.
 
Just got the reimbursement cheque, I feel recognized by the school 🙂

I am technically OOS with strong ties to IE and I know a couple other OOS students, I don’t know if it’s reflected anywhere. don’t lose hope 🙂
 
Does anyone know if we were considered complete the same time we received an email or is it after they have received our Casper results?
 
Hi everyone, I was wondering what your guys' thoughts are on CUSM having preliminary accreditation. Like what would be potential considerations and implications of this status?

Current M1 here. It's kinda complicated but there are two main accreditation bodies that matter. We got full accreditation this summer from WASC which is what most higher education schools use. This allows CUSM to offer more than 2 degrees down the line and everything is pretty much set for the MBS program.

CUSM still has preliminary accreditation with LCME which is specific for MD programs. Getting full accreditation is a great sign and was expected to happen before LCME. With preliminary LCME, they can give MD degrees, match students into residency, and you can sit for board exams. The worst thing that could possibly happen (which is pretty unlikely) is something like with California Northstate where instead of getting approved we get put on probation. Even then, CUSM would still be allowed to give MD degrees during the probation period and it would only have a big effect on later years. The past two years have done very well on boards and matching and I don't think that will change very soon.

TLDR: it won't have a big impact on your education or matching and things are looking on track to get full accreditation
