Praying for all of us mid November people to hear back soon. I hope we can all be successful (I'm internally freaking out)
I have checked my email, then the thread, and back to my email again, at least every 5 minutes today, haha. Totally freaking out. Probs only going to come in the next couple weeks based on our luck >.<

I think maybe next one or two weeks is likely (maybe longer into feb too tho) considering they're still just sending out late oct acceptances

Interviewed mid oct and haven’t heard back 🙁 anyone else in the same boat? hoping I’m not getting ghosted

I wish I understood how they were processing interviews because it seems all over the place 😭
yeah same, they've had 0 communication with us. i called them to ask and they said that if we interviewed and haven't heard back it means we're on hold and they accept/waitlist/reject us at any time

hello! has anyone that is currently on the waitlist contacted the school at all? I understand the waitlist probably wont move until spring, and they do not take any type of update/intent letters. But I just wanted to see if anyone has emailed or called asking about the waitlist procedure, or saying they love the school and hope to go there etc. I was wondering if we should maintain some sort of contact or just sit back and let things be (positive vibes 🙂)

There is no waitlist procedure beyond being notified if you are accepted off of it, unfortunately. My recommendation is to just sit back and relax in the interim. Calling admissions to "show interest" here will not boost your chances of coming off of the waitlist or increase your rank, unfortunately. I know at some schools that is the case, but not here.

Hi guys! I received the A from CUSM a bit ago and I rescinded the offer today. Does CUSM give a lot of financial aid or scholarships? I am very certain that I will be attending another institution, but I want to be sure I did not miss out on any opportunity to receive a scholarship which I can use to leverage at the school I will be going to

I don't think you can use a possible scholarship you haven't been offered, from a school you are not going to be attending, for any leverage!
If you are at the stage where you can turn down admission offers though, congratulations!

Not the possibility. If I did receive one

Congratulations!. Do you mind to share when did you interview?

I was wondering how we are able to see the date and time for our Virtual Engagement day. I signed up for it a few weeks ago and I think it was 2/23 but when I got back to the CUSM admissions portal I'm not able to see an information about the date and time, only that it was scheduled. Is anyone else scheduled for 2/23?

I emailed admissions to confirm the date and time and they responded! They said they will send a confirmation email and invite sometime soon before your interview

If you already rescinded, the answer doesn't really matter anymore. It's too late, for lack of better words. Knowing you had a potential to receive a scholarship, but rescinded too soon before you could find out, wouldn't really make you feel better. As long as you're happy with your decision is all that matters.

CUSM does have a few different scholarship opportunities. There is a CUSM scholarship that is of varying amounts and offered to a handful of applicants, while some have to apply for it. The most notable scholarship CUSM has is the IEHP Scholarship. It is a full-tuition scholarship offered to students (students can also apply for it) in exchange for the agreement to work as a doctor in the Inland Empire following residency for a total of 5 years. Not live, but work in the IE (not for any particular institution/facility). No particular specialty, as long as it's one of a long list of options (IM, FM, EM, peds, surgery, derm, optho, psych, neuro, and others).

Hi! At the virtual engagement session today they said if you have done the virtual engagement session, interviewed over 12 weeks ago, and haven't heard back to reach out to admissions!
Thanks! Someone earlier mentioned that they contacted admissions and were told that they could hear back any time during the cycle 🙁 I will reach out and see what they say!

Does anyone know if there's an accepted student groupchat? If not, how would y'all feel about starting one! I'd love to get to meet some of you amazing people😁
I'd love to start one too, would love to meet other incoming students!
