I rescheduled! Just sent the admissions an email, and they rescheduled it almost immediately for medid any one attempt to reschedule an interview? or did you accept the date you were given.
I didDid anyone else get an email from the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
That's exactly why I asked in this thread LOL. i was like wait... am i going to get an interview?? The email is confusing honestly. It might mean we’re getting IIs soon? In the email, it says “we will be providing our informational sessions known as the Diversity First Look the evening prior to those who have been granted interviews.”
Or maybe I’m wrong, and this is a generic thing they send out to everyone.
Also if it were generic, why would they send it out? I dont know but I'm going to hope i get an interview. That's exactly why I asked in this thread LOL. i was like wait... am i going to get an interview?? The email is confusing honestly.
not sure if this helps as a data point but i got an II already and did not get this emailIt might mean we’re getting IIs soon? In the email, it says “we will be providing our informational sessions known as the Diversity First Look the evening prior to those who have been granted interviews.”

Hello! Two quick questions - what do you believe this institution does for its MD students that sets it apart from other programs? And, are you happy with your decision to attend Cincy? Thank you.Congrats to everyone here for applying and to those who have already gotten IIs! I'm an M1 at Cincy so if anybody has any questions I'd be happy to chat and try to get them answered for you!
is there still a qaurtile rank for students? any AOA? full pass/fail?Congrats to everyone here for applying and to those who have already gotten IIs! I'm an M1 at Cincy so if anybody has any questions I'd be happy to chat and try to get them answered for you!
M2 here. There is still a quartile ranking system, but it’s weighted differently each year. M1 is weighted at 10%, M2 at 20%, and M3 at 70%. UCCOM has AOA, and it’s given to 20% of the class. All courses are pass/fail, but grades are recorded and used for the final quartile score.is there still a qaurtile rank for students? any AOA? full pass/fail?
One of the main draws to me for coming here was how much every staff/administration member I met seemed to care about the students. The environment overall is very friendly and collaborative. I felt that energy through my interview day, it is part of why I matriculated here, and the environment through the beginning of M1 has been the same. There are great resources like tutoring, financial and career advising, and study/lifestyle tips. There are also tons of organizations and programs you can join - if you've got an interest, they've got a group for it. Additionally, the design of and elements of the curriculum drew me here. We took an emergency first responder course at the beginning of the semester that I really enjoyed, which gave us some initial preparation to respond in a medical emergency (CPR, first aid, etc.). There are also elements of the curriculum centered around service, ethics, and creating your identify as a physician. It's hard to limit this list because I feel like the opportunities here are great in comparison to other schools I received acceptances from. Ultimately, I am very happy with my decision. I have really enjoyed the classes so far and feel very supported and surrounded by opportunities to explore my interests! Hope this helps some! 🙂Hello! I can’t comment as to other programs, but I feel that this is a good balance between grades and true pass/fail. Along with the reputation of the program, quality of the clerkship sites, and abundance of home residency programs at the school, you’ll be well prepared if you plan on applying for a competitive program. Thanks for the response. Interesting system for sure. How do you feel overall? Do u think this essentially makes the grading almost as “competitive” as a letter grade system?
same here!Anyone else with no II but got an email about a diversity event for only people with IIs![]()
