looks like last year had a lot of deferral --> As in late may, then waitlisting happened 2 weeks after in mid-June.

OOS deferred today. Interviewed 3/18
OOS interviewed 10/30 deferred 12/15. Still waiting for a post-deferral decision. Don’t give up hope!

I hope deferrals can hear back soon because it’s late enough that I have to worry about deadlines for taking out loans either here or elsewhere.

How can you tell how many seats are left to fill?
Ive just been looking at the facebook group and ballparking based on that. Currently FB group has 232 members and the class has 304 seats

Anyone still waiting for an initial decision?
I’m really curious what the timeline is going to be. There are many, many people who were deferred in March now and yet early deferrals haven’t heard back.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think they have given post-II Rs to anyone. So reality is a lot of us deferred people could be in any of the 3 categories true defferal, WL, or R. We’ll just have to wait and see.
thats honestly the worst part tbh. I know some schools give you an almost exact WL ranking and whether or not they expect to pull that far through the cycle. I'd die for that kind of insight rn

Yeah I changed up my primary. Planning to do the same for my secondary. Might not change the whole thing but definitely gonna edit and add some stuff from my gap year experiences.

Does anyone know if the Facebook group actually reaches 300+ before orientation? Part of me feels like a decent amount of accepted people haven’t joined and that a lot of them end up joining the group chat join during orientation week.

I feel like people join it immediately so that they can find out about more about housing and roommates and get additional information. The number of people on facebook isn't really a great metric to determining available seats, but it's something to work with rather than nothing at all. I only ask to see it cause I'd like to know whether there has been movement or not

Yeah a little over that. During the interview day, they said 800 something get accepted out of 1400 something
