2023-2024 UC San Francisco

Hmm. I'm assuming UCSF should be done soon then. I wonder if those who got a secondary super late are just screwed then?

Yeah I’m not sure. I know their website says they interview until early February so there may be a couple of dates left in February that they didn’t have opened up yet. But they have also been a little behind this cycle so they may extend it a bit. I’m hoping for the best for those waiting to hear back

Yea cuz they were definitely behind I guess, but mid-February is only 3 to maybe 4 weeks away from Jan 22nd, so it feels like time is definitely running out.
That is concerning - looks like latest date open for interviews now is early February so it gives us 2 weeks. Really hoping they extend b/c that means that secondaries submitted September and afterwards are DOA.

Do we know if interviews will happen through mid February? The website says early February ☹️

I'm a little mad at myself for not completing the secondary day 1 😆 (received first day of September). From this thread it looks like there will be limited IIs given to applicants who are complete September or later. Fingers crossed they still have some spots for us.
I don't think that’s necessarily true because theyre the ones that send secondaries all the way into December. I still think that the chance of getting a II is pretty much the same(like most schools, pretty low anyways), there’s not much of a disadvantage compared to someone who submitted in August.

they made a point during interview day that this process is very much non-rolling! Wouldn't worry about it, I do think everyone who is given a secondary is given somewhat equal consideration for an II
Can you elaborate on "non-rolling?"

I think it's like, they don't accept people until they've interviewed everyone they want to interview, and people who get As in the first round in early Feb are the applicants who they are sure would be accepted in any round? correct me if I'm wrong tho, that's how I understood it

I think this changed around 2 years ago iirc
That's very reassuring. I was afraid they'd turn me down before my interview because they ran out of space.
