I didn't apply to EVMS, but just got an email from them saying I should consider them and apply? Has anyone else received something like this? I don't have amazing stats so I'm wondering what this is all about.

If you want to apply to EVMS you should but don't do it only because of the email. Lots of med schools send out those types of emails to people above a specific gpa and MCAT but don't hold much weight.

Yea, pre interview. Secondary completed on 8/16

I got an application complete email but I think it was a few days after submission in early July, so maybe they’re just backed up at this point?

until mid September, I'd say you have a decent shot at submitting secondaries at most places (other than tulane and schools of that sort). This is for MD. For DO, you can submit for a fair chance up until October end probably. Idk. I'm j an applicant

its very early, and they've sent out a very small percentage of their total interviews for this cycle. we have many months left for interview szn. keep the faith!

Wanted to encourage anyone who has an interview coming up to just be yourself. I was way more nervous than I needed to be. They seem to put an emphasis on asking a few standardized questions and then a few follow ups. Was very conversational and very pleasant overall. Ended up listening to stories for almost half of my time lol.

You should not assume that for any school at this point. Most schools extend interview invites through dec-feb.

I'm still waiting, submitted primary on 9/4. You are not alone. I think some schools can take a few weeks.

Nah they screen pretty heavily on the front end from what I've heard, so youre probably chilling.

I second MSAR! Also EVMS is wayyy more about fit and less about stats than most schools. They pre-secondary reject people with great stats every year
