For those got admitted, did you do the on-campus visit? Does attending that weigh in to decision for acceptance? I'm sure it shows interest but wondering if worth effort to come from hours away to attend when other interviews scheduled and waiting on decisions.

I asked during the Zoom info session, they said it would not affect the acceptance decision. It is just an opportunity for you to visit the school, have a school tour, listen to some presentations, have a student Q&A. There will be a group interview but that does not add into your application. I saw people who got acceptance without attending the on-campus visit

Does anyone know if decisions have been made for those choosing the lecture (LDP) pathway?

I just logged into my portal and it said that a decision has been made and to please wait for an email update. Does anyone know how long it takes from this stage?

I interviewed at LECOM on 10/8, have a Lizzy M score of 65, and applied for LDP. It’s my top school, do you think it’s worthwhile to reach out to the school and express more interest? I already toured there and have spoken with admissions…

i personally wouldn't until you get your decision. they manage an insane amount of applications and are probably super busy. it will hold more weight if you get waitlisted. they already know of your interest by nature of you applying -- plus I assume you indicated them as your top school on the survey they sent out -- so I'd just play the waiting game 🙂

AACOMAS says verified (9/21) haven't recieved an email for a secondary yet, should I be worried?

OOS II today! Got the two fu emails as well. submitted 7/14/24

OOS II 10/24; shocked with the fast response with primary AND secondary submitted 10/18.

I need to know everything there is to know about LECOM— curriculum, match rate, clinical rotations.
I know this can probably be found on their website, but I was hoping for personal insights/experience. I read something about its toxic environment (I was like, what? That’s probably all med schools because it’s not easy! Lol).
I read somewhere that at LECOM (or one/some of its other locations), students set up their own clinical rotations? Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks for your time!

I don't remember the date anymore but I submitted primary on X date, received secondary same day, and submitted secondary at around 3AM on X+1 day. Then OOS II at like 2PM on that X+1 day lol. Either I was lucky to submit on the very last day that they close for 1 II batch, or my stat could be high for like an automatic II or so

How does lecom look at pass fail?
I have one satisfactory grade in spring 2020 covid year for a pre req. will lecom screen out. any experience here?

For those who have ranked their campus/know what their top choice is, could you share any info you have and what made you choose? Mostly trying to decide between Erie and Seton Hill. Thanks and good luck in the cycle!!

i chose seton hill based on location. If you want PBL, then it's pretty standardized between all sites. if you're interested in the other learning pathways, Erie is the place for you.

Trying to understand LECOM’s pathways:

Do all campuses use PBL pathway? Which campus use PBL and/or LDP? I’m so confused.

I’m confused - I read that LECOM (Lake Erie, Seton Hill and Elmira) set up the clinical rotations for their students, but I heard somewhere that only Lake Erie set it up, while the other campuses have their students set it up themselves? If so, wouldn’t that be a lot of leg work?

Did anyone complete their secondary application on October 12 and hear back from them for an interview?
