+1 OOS II Complete 10/23! I'm so excited!!
Haven’t received any additional communication following the acceptance email a month agoI asked about second look dates during my interview, and I believe they said April 4-5, but perhaps an accepted student can confirm!
Same, there has been no formal announcement about second looks, facebook groups, etc.Haven’t received any additional communication following the acceptance email a month ago
I can only answer #2, but at my interview one of the stations needed to be dropped because of interviewer tech issues. They told us they drop the lowest score, so they would just drop that station for us.1) I want to confirm if others have heard the same thing from adcom- at my interview in December, I was told that adcom meets every other week up until end of February, and then weekly in March and April.
2) Does anyone know if the lowest scoring MMI station is dropped from the actual interview score? I know I completely bombed one.
You are a real trooper, seriously. Same for all interviewees who have been waiting 2+ months. I am at ~1 mo of silence and it has been nerve wracking.Maybe today is the day! ya know, since I've been waiting since mid September lmao
Also at ~ 1 month 🙁 Has there been any success stories of people getting the A after multiple months of waiting? I need some hopeYou are a real trooper, seriously. Same for all interviewees who have been waiting 2+ months. I am at ~1 mo of silence and it has been nerve wracking.
I scoured last year’s SDN thread and it doesn’t seem like many people had success the longer they waited. But also this is only anecdotal evidence. I know a couple of my friends who applied in previous cycles waited as long as 2 to 3 months, so I’m going to hope for a WL for another 30ish days. January has been a long month for me and I hope Feb/March go by faster. Also at ~ 1 month 🙁 Has there been any success stories of people getting the A after multiple months of waiting? ahh this is nerve wracking, fingers crossed for both of us!I scoured last year’s SDN thread and it doesn’t seem like many people had success the longer they waited. FeltIS R, that one hurt bad
+1+1 OOS pre-II R
do you mind if I ask if the WL is for PURCH and MD?OOS WL :/ interview nov 26, dec 3 for purch
yep in the email they said waitlisted for md program and purch trackdo you mind if I ask if the WL is for PURCH and MD?
How did you feel after each interview? I ask because i felt like my regular went great but my purch is 50/50. Curious if they consider you for PURCH and if PURCH is like WL then MD gets a chance to accept you/WL as you well?yep in the email they said waitlisted for md program and purch track
yeah i thought i did well on both but def 1 station in the purch interview i blanked a little. I’m also looking into the same thing. like can i remove myself from purch and if so does it have an effect on my md program waitlist? is it all or nothing ? might email the school laterHow did you feel after each interview? The best way I can understand this is: there’s no advantage to having an earlier interview like at other med schools — this is the closest a med school can operate on college admissions schedule :/ I have heard of one other med school doing something similar. So it’s better to schedule a MMI when one is feeling ready vs. taking the earliest MMI dateInterviewed 9/18 IS, regular MD, still nothing. I'm taking the L at this point and assuming it's an R based off of previous cycles. Have nobody to blame but myself I suppose but damn, I wish UMass would at least have the courtesy to reject me sooner instead of making me wait till late February-March.
I interviewed in September and got accepted in December, but seems like a lot of people have not heard back. How long has it taken for folks who interviewed for PURCH to hear back after the PURCH interview?
Yeah the first hour is an information session and then you have 3 interviews and 1 break, each taking a 1 hour block. it goes by decently quick though. However, mine was 3 interviews back to back (my "break" at the end), so I got out an hour early.Does anyone know if the Lead@Lahey interview truly lasts the entire time that's allotted?
Not disagreeing with your point. It just hurts a little when I was with the first batches of interviews sent out and the dean of admissions explicitly told our group that we were at an advantage for interviewing early. The best way I can understand this is: there’s no advantage to having an earlier interview like at other med schools — this is the closest a med school can operate on college admissions schedule :/ I have heard of one other med school doing something similar. Unfortunately, what UMass adcom says =/= what they do. It sucks. I really pray that you get some good news soon. It seems like the majority of us on this thread are still waiting. 🙁 sending a virtual hug.Not disagreeing with your point. completely MMIIs the interview here completely in MMI format or is there also a traditional interview component where you have a conversation and get asked standard questions like "Why medicine?"
I just received an email today for this---Second Look Day: Thursday, April 3 & Friday, April 4, 2025I asked about second look dates during my interview, and I believe they said April 4-5, but perhaps an accepted student can confirm!
when you get rejected, you loose portal access and get an invalid username/password message. (Ask me how I know lol)IS Pre-II R LM78.
I'm really sorry to ask this but to those of you who were rejected, does the portal show it for you? Mine still says under-review.
I don't see the harm in it as long as you provide a sufficient update (new grades, publications, awards, new job/position, etc).is it worth sending a pre-II update? live in state but not in state resident
