I’m hoping that they review august interviews and send them out next week. Being an IS and waiting to hear back cause of their random review process would suck

Does anyone know when they first started to accept students last cycle? I know they aren't able to until 10/15 but was curious if they accept most of their students before the year ends.
I was on a Q&A session tonight and they said they will release some decisions that soon, but that if you've interviewed and don't hear back right away it's not a bad sign, it's just that your app may not have been voted on yet. My guess is they'll send a few handfuls out in the last 2 weeks of October.

Can't wait for the 15th!!!

It's the 15th, has anyone heard?
When I interviewed, they said that most applicants will hear much later in the cycle even if they interviewed before Oct 15th. They explained that they "backload" their admissions process, meaning less interviews and acceptances prior to winter break, and then increased # of decisions after winter break. They explained they only meet for decisions once a month prior to winter break, where as they meet once a week in February.

Me with almost the same LM score, who interviewed the day after you, currently waiting for my IS Waitlist email 🙁
I am in a similar boat, but I am trying not to think like that. It is so important to remember that everyone has different circumstances, work/activities experiences, etc that are not showcased in an LM score.

Do they usually respond sooner to in-state applicants? So far, everyone I know who has received a decision has been in-state. Good luck to everyone this cycle!

Do they just do the MMI stations for the MD interview? Also do they do the same for the PURCH interview but with a one-on-one added to it? Kind of wish there was a one-on-one.. :/

After the interview, how long will it take to hear back?
🤷🏻‍♀ There's a good number of us wondering the same, and unfortunately no real answer. You can look at last year's SDN thread if you want to try and get an idea, but there doesn't seem to be a clear pattern. I do know that applicants to programs like PURCH can typically expect to wait a bit longer since they ramp up their presentations to committee as we get further into the cycle.

Yeah and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there were many applicants last cycle who interviewed in September/October who were ghosted until late springtime (no communication, no waitlist, no nothing). UMass does not seem to be kind to applicants in getting back on a scheduled time frame.

I feel like I heard them say they will get back to us within 2-3 weeks, but I kinda zoned out so I'm sure.
