Did anyone email admissions and let them know the small group virtual session zoom link is not in the people soft portal?

I emailed them last time and they responded but never ended up uploading it. Instead, they just sent out the link via email.

i never got this email or the prospective student day email but I got the “still under consideration email” what is happening 💀

Well I assume the prospective student email is for accepted students. From what I heard from students, their Admissions team is a bit disorganized.
 
But what if we got a prospective student email without any A?

Can you send me the link? I assume you're referencing the one thats tomorrow. I got the email and emailed them right away asking for the Zoom link and no answer.
 
Has anyone who interviewed with PURCH gotten an active consideration email? I interviewed with PURCH in Sept but did not receive an email re active consideration. I wonder if this is because I am still being considered for PURCH (rather than R and transferred to the regular MD pool), and their processes may be different.

Not purch but the active consideration emails don't mean much. I applied 2 years ago an this was my only II, got the active consideration email 7 weeks post Interview and got rejected in april at the very end of the cycle. I knew others who had the same thing happen to them, and I know people who got in with and without that email. Unsure of what they are trying to indicate by sending it because it seems more or less random, can't speak to purch but more wanted to give my 2 cents on the email and lack of receiving one
 
I wonder what the absolute quickest turnaround UMass sends out decisions post-interview is. anyone on here heard of someone hearing back particularly fast? (thinking wishfully lol)

4 weeks was typically the fastest i saw last time I applied. I think very late In the cycle they can send a decision faster too. they're normally pretty good with the 6-8 timeframe(even though I'm now pushing 10 weeks lol)
 
Does anyone know for certain if you can be rejected from PURCH but get accepted into MD? or if you withdraw from PURCH post interview, does that negatively impact you? I was told by another applicant that after the PURCH interview you have to choose whether you want to continue being considered for PURCH or not, and if you elect PURCH then it is either PURCH or nothing which is a bit contradicting to the PURCH website, since that says "You can be rejected from PURCH but receive a regular MD acceptance"

per the PURCH admins during the interview: It is true that after the PURCH interview you can choose to no longer be considered for PURCH and be moved to the MD only pool. But if you choose to stay in the PURCH pool it is not PURCH or nothing. You can be rejected PURCH and still get in MD
 
there is a zoom link under interview information, under the q&a section, but I'm not sure if that is the correct zoom link.

For the monthly "Special Topics" sessions, I think this is the go-to link. I received it in an email on 9/16, but I don't think they've sent it out since then (and clearly it's not on the portal!).

For the more-frequent "Q&A" sessions, which are generally open-ended sessions with faculty and students, that link is available in the portal!

Perfect! Now, do you know if there is any data on people being R from PURCH but A into Regular MD? I scrolled last year's forum and only saw waitlist waitlist waitlist... trying to weigh my options
 
Didn't make it to that special sessions thing last night, can anyone give a quick overview? was it actually worth going to?

Basically you could ask questions related to the topic of each breakout room. Only worth going if you have a question(s) or have time to observe for an hour (some people ask good questions that are helpful/you might not have thought of); an adcom member was popping in and out of the rooms so unclear if they were tracking attendance or not.

Anyone know if they'll release more decisions this Friday given the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow?

I think at this point, I would just anticipate not hearing anything until the new year. Last cycle per Cycle Track, no one reported acceptances again until mid-December, and then UMass seemed to send out a higher volume of As in Jan-March, with a wave of Rs in March and April. I would love to be pleasantly surprised, but they seem to be holding off until the Spring to send most of the As. This was something that was also emphasized at PURCH interviews.

I mean I am not on adcom, so take this with a grain of salt, but it looks like per Cycle tracker that they sent out interviews through late February last cycle.
 
Anyone got info on whether Regular MD can accept you before PURCH does? My interviews are a month apart 😶
