Its been stuck at 322 admissions on the website for a while, so probably not
Sorry if a spot at SL@M doesn't open up, but if you are ever in the area send the admissions office an email and they will be more than happy to to set up a tour with a student!

What’s SL@M? Also does anyone know how many offers were in last years cycle? Because they had limited waitlist movement last year but they also had more admission offers I think

I figured out what sl@m is sorry
They pulled 30/80 off the WL last year which matches the approximate number of acceptances they still have (on average) to give. Fully depends on other people not taking their A, though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Just received email they wouldn’t be able to match my merit aid at Vandy so I will be withdrawing my A😪 shame bc I really enjoyed SL@M but hope this means more WL movement for anyone on it

Withdrew off the WL! (gotta plan for the future, and I don't have time to visit before matriculation!) I was heartbroken to be waitlisted by UMich. I hope that by making the list a little shorter, someone who really wants to attend will get the A. Good luck, everyone!
Has anyone been able to schedule feedback with Umich admissions yet? Submitted for it first day but been ghosted since
They actually pulled 0 from the WL last year
2025s MSAR (two years ago) was 30 which is where that number came from. For last year, that data just came out and is 10/80 taken off.

Not entirely sure, but I don’t think anyone has joined after April 30th. The chat currently has 296 ppl with a lot being current and non-matriculating students.

Does anyone know when to expect WL movement? I think last year in early may they got an email about limited waitlist movement so hopefully it’s not limited this year? Idk 😭 sorry guys trying not to be anxious

Emailed and they said they dont plan on taking anyone off the WL this year. Unfortunate

There could be 100 people still on "plan to enroll" and presumably if enough get off waitlist and choose to go elsewhere it could still happen. So still does not merit an email, because they will need waitlist people to hold out if they do suddenly need more people. But I think based on past data, more people have already committed to enroll than maybe past years so they are not planning on needing waitlist.
Hopefully everyone else that was WLed has an acceptance somewhere else. After hearing the Deans interview day speech about how “people who interview with us get multiple acceptances so we want to show you why you should pick us” a second time and having multiple cycles with no A to any program, I had to really think about my application. I’ve decided this was my last run, so if there’s no movement that’s tough. Wishing you all the best and hope you find success in the field.

Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to establish michigan reisdnecy after a certain amount of time and pay IS tuition?

The University of Michigan has a policy for both undergrad and medical school does not let you change your designation to IS, if you started out as OOS. In turn, there is no real point to changing your state residency (unless you are a pre-med living or working in Michigan for a year+ prior to being accepted to UMMS).

Waitlist to R. For anyone looking at these forums in the future who gets waitlisted just know sometimes you do everything right and it doesn’t work out. Carol Teener told me I had a great interview and to just keep pushing and trying, but I don’t think I’ve got another one in me. Wishing you all the best, hope you make medicine better.
Telling someone they had a great interview but still rejecting them with such a high post-interview acceptance rate is criminal. I’m so sorry you’ve had such a rough few cycles

I never got an email from Carol but I checked the web apply page and it said file closed, idt they took anyone off the waitlist this year unfortunately but I’m glad I didn’t have to wait till July
