my bad... just thought some people would want to know as it's the first day interview invites have been reported for this school but I'll refrain in the future :)

Interview invite last night at 7:20. Sort of surprised since I didn’t submit my secondary until August 20th. Only 1 date (9/19) and time available for interview but it doesn’t work with me. Anyone seeing more dates?

hey yall, this is a very last minute q but we wont know what campus we are being considered until/if we are accepted? I have my interivew coming up and I would like to be considered for the Univeristy Park Curriculum, but I am unsure if I should mention this in in the interview.

In previous years there was a UP-specific optional essay question but not sure if that's still there now. I don't think it would hurt to mention your interest in your interview.

Once you are accepted into Hershey, you can reach out to the UP campus to express interest and interview for 1 of the 12 spots. Those interviews for UP would start in the spring.

for those who do not have all of the specific letters needed - how did you approach the secondary question where you have to check to confirm your letters?

is this school rolling admissions? i know it's late but wonder if it would be a worthwhile late addition

Hi everyone. I’m a current MD student at Penn State so I can try to answer questions you may have :)

What is the social life like outside of academics? Is there good class comradery?
You tend to have a good amount of time after lecture ends to do whatever you want. People fill that time with studying, volunteer orgs, shadowing/research, and social stuff. The class gets along pretty well! In terms of social things to do, people like going out to Harrisburg for clubs/bars (which is pretty close by), or to state college for football games, and to some local sports bars/restaurants throughout the week and on the weekends. We’re also pretty close to Philly and NYC so people go there on the weekends if they want.

I think our class specifically is very supportive of each other. We’re always sharing opportunities, study resources and notes, and we keep our class chat pretty active on the daily. We recently elected our student gov and they’re already trying to make sure everyone is feeling supported and advocating for us to administration.

Hey! I am probably being neurotic, but I submitted my secondary early July and have heard nothing back. I am IS and really interested in the program (my parent actually went here for med school). Would it be worth sending a letter of interest, or is it too early?

It's way too early. letters of interest only really help if you have an II anyway. I wouldn't send anything yet
