Are the interviews this season the same as last with the poker face, no talking about your undergrad, etc?

They'll say this to you in the info session, but it's up to you. If you feel like mentioning undergrad, etc. is important for your story, then do so. If not, you do not need to.

Typically letters of intent are only sent after an interview invite and after the interview has happened. I’d say sending a letter before that would be closer to an update letter, which PSUCOM doesn’t accept

They interviewed really late into last year, so yes. They are low yield, however (many application, low % of applicants get II).

No, they don't unfortunately

For those of you on post-interview hold, don't feel discouraged! For Penn State it's not used as a soft rejection (which may be the case for other schools). People do actually get pulled from the hold list and the applications are constantly being revisited.

I would guess (take this number with a grain of salt, purely hypothetical):

45-55%, based on MSAR interviewees and matriculants.
