When did you get your email? If it was today, try again in the morning & see if they have added dates, also see if you can look in October or November on their calendar

Yes it was today around 2PM. I will try in the morning. There is nothing available in October or November right now. Thank you!

There is a single date available, October 29. Not sure if more will open up but that's what I currently see.

**EDIT: They now have 4 dates available, it looks like they are all of the dates for the Oct 21 orientation.

Hi- which location did you get assigned to for your clinical years? Have the sites changed any?

For those applying to the ENMED program, is it possible to receive interviews for both ENMED and regular MD? Since they state they consider applicants for both, would you interview for both programs or, if given a chance, just at ENMED and then be evaluated for both programs based on that singular interview?

The EnMed interview day includes interviews with both EnMed and A & M staff. If a person is turned down by EnMed after interviewing, they can still rank A&M for match day as I understand it.
To do this you should have checked both the A & M and EnMed boxes on your TMDSAS primary application.
EnMed itself is considered a dual degree or special program, and isn’t included in TMDSAS Match Day.
That being said, the release of acceptances roughly follows TMDSAS customary timeline, with many offers made between October 15 and February.

The way I understand it, one must be turned down for EnMed before they are considered by A&M and one may not get both admissions.

In the past applicants have received emails asking them if they want to continue being considered by A&M once EnMed says they are no longer under consideration. It becomes harder for those who continue to be considered by EnMed how to rank during match because it is unclear if A&M can admit them because EnMed didn't during match based on some of the posts from previous years.

I think that is correct.
You're only up for MD consideration after EnMed turns you down, so you won't "be accepted by both."
Some who went through this sequence don't end up getting an A & M MD offer either 😢.

Thank you!! That makes more sense!

at my interview day with enmed, they told us our interview with enmed would also count for admission to the regular md program at tamu. They told us that sometime before match day, we will find out if we got accepted to enmed or not -- even if rejected to enmed, i think we would have the option to rank tamu on our match list.

FYI

<<<Dear Colleagues,

Texas A&M University has a proud legacy of meeting the diverse healthcare needs of our state and beyond. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, so does our dedication to advancing medical education to address the challenges of tomorrow and to improve the health and well-being of our communities.

In response to these evolving needs, we are excited to announce that Texas A&M will soon establish two distinct medical colleges under Texas A&M Health, each with its own strategic mission and curricular pathway. Both schools will attract specialized cohorts of students, delivering tailored educational experiences designed to meet the future of healthcare.

The College of Medicine, a nearly 50-year-old cornerstone of Texas A&M Health, will continue to advance its mission of providing exceptional medical education and scientific discovery. With a strong commitment to training physicians who will serve communities across Texas, especially underserved populations, the College of Medicine leads the way in cutting-edge basic science and translational research. Its curriculum is designed to address the state’s critical healthcare needs in primary and specialty care.

The Engineering Medicine (EnMed) program, which currently exists as a track within College of Medicine as part of its Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation, will pursue independent accreditation as a separate medical college under Texas A&M Health, pending state and accreditation approvals. EnMed offers an innovative curriculum that combines medical education with engineering principles, creating "physicianeers"—doctors who are equipped to drive technological advancements and solve complex healthcare challenges.

To facilitate this transition, EnMed will undergo an operational redesign in close collaboration with university academic leadership, Texas A&M Health administration, College of Medicine and College of Engineering leadership, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and the LCME. This process marks a step toward establishing EnMed as a standalone entity within Texas A&M Health, as soon as necessary approvals are attained.

This development represents a pivotal moment for Texas A&M, Texas A&M Health, and our medical students. Establishing these two distinct medical colleges positions Texas A&M as a leader in both medical education and the integration of medicine with cutting-edge technology. Your continued collaboration and support will be essential in shaping the future of these programs and ensuring we remain at the forefront of healthcare education in Texas and beyond.

Thank you for your dedication to this transformative endeavor. Together, we are building the future of healthcare education.

For those of you that have interviewed with EnMed (this cycle or previously), what's the best way to study for the quizzes? How in depth do they go, and how many questions are each? Also, how much do the quizzes factor into the admissions decision? Any information that doesn't go into specific content/violate the interview agreement would be very helpful!!! and i'd be very grateful 😊

I had 3 days open, but I opened the email like within 30 minutes. With my other IS II I noticed available days fill up quick!

Hey, was just curious. What was the earliest date available for interview?

the only two dates I saw today (I opened right as soon as I got the email) was Oct 8 and Oct 10, for next week :,)

Do they tell you how long you have to read the MMI questions and how long to answer?
Edited to correct myself- regular MD interview is MMI format this year.

I believe the MMI may be for EnMed
Someone who has done the regular MD, please chime in on the format.

As far as I can determine, the regular MD interviews are two one-on-one interviews. You may be asked questions about yourself, or also questions about ethics or situations.

Actually TAMU switched to MMI this year, same platform as UTMB (kira talent)

Yeah it's MMI, I don't think we're allowed to discuss format (according to contract)

By format people were asking if it is MMI - vs - a conversation with one interviewer ( that format is usually 30+ minutes of conversation).
Thanks for the confirmation they are using MMI this year.

Hi! Does anyone who has interviewed here know when they received a zoom link for the Monday Orientation and for their MMI? I am doing orientation next Monday, interview Tuesday, and still haven't received any links? It says in the interview email that they send out zoom link the week before the orientation, and its now less than a week.

I know the dates for the interview orientation are either the Monday the week of or week before your interview; however, I forgot to make a note of the dates they listed in the portal and now cant see them. Does anybody remember what dates they had listed for October interviewers? I just want to plan out my week and knowing whether it is the Monday of or before tells me whether I need to get an exam for a class rescheduled or not.
I know they have one on 10/21 for sure but the other one could be 10/7 (assuming they do bi-weekly). I would email admissions just to be safe assuming you are interviewing before 10/21! Good luck!

Does A&M send majority of acceptances as prematches or do they wait till match day?
