Interesting to see that most people who announced their LM score are around 65-66.

If their screening at 510 holds true, it translates 3.4+ GPA.

65-66 is normal interview score for several Texas public schools.

Would you consider this a soft R? Has anyone gotten a secondary after receiving an email saying this?
“Your application remains under review for secondary consideration. Due to your MCAT score, we are unable to extend a secondary application to you at this time but may do so in the future.”

Sorry not very encouraging but it’s not a rejection

Yikes, received a pre-secondary R. I Called admissions and they said "It's a highly competitive pool of applicants this year, so if you have a science GPA of 3.2 or below we are looking for a 510 or higher MCAT". Stats: cGPA 3.28: sGPA:3.08 MCAT: 506
Just letting you know that this is false information. Yes, you want to be competitive by having either a high GPA or MCAT score, but it’s not a reason for rejection

I don’t believe anyone said it was auto-rejection. It sounds as if they reviewed the primary app and decided not to move forward to secondary app.

Yeah no definitely not an auto-reject! They viewed my file and talked to me about it and that was the reasoning that they gave me as to why they did not give me a secondary

By auto rejection I meant rejection prior to obtaining a secondary. I was asked to correct the statement about needing those exact GPA vs MCAT scores, for those numbers were not accurate. Don’t give up hope though! Fingers crossed for next cycle, or I hope you get another acceptance this cycle! You got this, future doctor 😊

Did anyone who interviewed on Friday ask when they'd release decisions?

Cycletrack for last cycle shows an average of 18 days interview to acceptance (n=9). 29 days for interview to waitlist, no data for rejections.

Btw for reference, I ended up emailing admissions about it a little more than two weeks later and they immediately updated to mark the letters as complete! Just letting y'all know in case there's a long delay on LOR to reach out. All my communications with UIWSOM over email have received a response in less than 5 minutes, which is impressive.
Hi guys, I'm trying to apply for this cycle and I wanted to add that I’ve heard sometimes advisors hit the wrong button when loading HPACs and letter packets to AACOMAS. If they upload them with the single letter option, this might cause the DO schools to import the letters as one letter instead of multiple letters. Maybe this is happening to your letter packets and HPACs, if it is I would call the Admissions Office and they will fix it.

Does anyone know the format of the interview?
Format is different this year. It’s about a 30 min interview and you’ll be in the room being asked questions by a single interviewer. Questions can be about you, your application, ethics, situational, etc

Has anyone interviewed here yet? if yes, can you share your interview day experience?

Hi guys,

My interview for this school is next week, and I was wondering if the format is still MMI?

I'm nervous and excited for the interview opportunity as an OOS applicant!

I just emailed them about the format, and they said they no longer conduct MMI! It'll be a 30 minute one-to-one traditional interview.

Anyone know if they're gonna open up any more virtual dates for II? I don't see any dates available and like UIWSOM is a 14 hr drive for me :(

They do urge IS applicants to choose in person over virtual, so hopefully they open more up soon!

When I was picking a date a few hours ago, they had 1 time in person for Oct and I think 2 time slots on the same day for Nov and 1 virtual time in Dec.

was the earliest in person date not until November for anyone else??
:/ If it helps, I got my Oct date by signing up around 6:30 pm. I got lucky and was checking my email (for an entirely different reason because it's Sunday) and found the II was sent at 5:41 pm.

They might just have run out of spots. Idk if they'll open more earlier dates, but maybe they will (?). But I went with the assumption that they might not and just grabbed the earliest date because I felt it was limited.

Did you receive the interview day agenda email (including the name of your interviewer) prior to your interview?

I did not receive an agenda email the day before my interview, they do provide an agenda at check in though. Also I won’t share specifics because of the NDA but try to relax and be yourself! Yall got this!!

Thank you so much! In the previous interview I had, they sent the agenda ahead, including the interviewer's name (which was quite nice, I was able to read on their bio). Anyway, congrats again on your A!! You're going to be a DOCTOR!! 🥳🥳🥳

So bc Incarnate doesn't participate in TMDSAS system, if you get an acceptance from them, is it binding?

Turn around time was a little over 2 weeks (17 days). The acceptance is not binding to my understanding, I assume there’ll be a deposit deadline to secure your seat but I haven’t gotten that information yet

Received an acceptance email post interview today. LM 70

Acceptance isn't binding. The school provided a period of time for you to make a decision. You will have plenty of time to review your options before making any commitments.
