Has anyone who interviewed 11/22 heard anything? I remember them saying this week was the goal.
Thanks, this is super helpful.Students are ranked based on pre-clinical years performance as well as third year and fourth year evaluations from clinical rotations. They’re calculated cumulatively for an individuals overall class rank.
From talking with current students there is an incredibly collaborative environment, and this system doesn’t necessarily breed toxic competition.
From what I recall the class rank is either on your transcript and/or mentioned in the Deans letter, which some residency programs require.
No, but I am feeling anxious/eager to hear, too! I was relieved to come on here and not see any updates yet.Has anyone who interviewed 11/22 heard anything? I remember them saying this week was the goal.
Hopefully tomorrow we will hear something! Or at least I thought that's what they said! No, but I am feeling anxious/eager to hear, too! I was relieved to come on here and not see any updates yet.
Agreed, still nothing, fingers crossed for us!Hopefully tomorrow we will hear something! Or at least I thought that's what they said!
Does anyone know if they are still offering interview invites?
Thanks! I just have a couple quick question. How hard is to get rotations in Portland, and do you feel that does the academic grading makes studying more stressful/competitive?Hello everyone! Current 4th year here just chilling before match day. Happy to answer any questions you may have about the school, Lebanon community, or Oregon in general!
Hey! The rotation tracks are selected via a lottery system. People rank their choices and most get their top choice. Using my class as an example, there were 34 spots in Portland and I think there were ~40 people wanting to go to Portland so only 6 did not get their top choice. After the lottery we were allowed to do some trades between students and some people got a few more Portland rotations that way. Thanks! I just have a couple quick question. Good luck on your match day

I did not feel like the grading and ranking made things competitive. I think admissions does a good job in selecting students who will fit the vibe at COMP-NW, which is very much not competitive. As a class we had a Google drive full of Anki decks and other study resources we all shared. I think the classes that came after me were more tech savvy than ours and they use Discord 😅
Hope that helps!
