Is it too late to submit an update letter? I interviewed in August and I think historically they release those decisions very soon so idk if it’s worth

I was honestly thinking of making it a letter of intent… but I realize I’m kinda late for that bc odds are they’ve probably already made a decision on my app and idk if this would lead to any reconsiderations atpI was told to save update letters for if you get waitlisted.
If I haven't gotten any II yet and I submitted in late July is my app gonna be rejected?

Here's someone on admit who submitted in july and got an II like 3 weeks from now. There's still time for you to get an II

Not sure, was hoping to hear back today. interviewed 8/21Does anyone know how long after the interview we can expect to hear back? I saw 6-8 weeks in last year’s SDN thread, but I don’t remember being told anything like that during the interview info session.
Hopefully they’ll send the good news to you soon, maybe today or tomorrow! I interviewed last week so I’m not expecting to hear back for a while, but I hoped we would have an estimate so I could keep my expectations realistic. Not sure, was hoping to hear back today. interviewed 8/21
P.S. As a fellow neuro nerd, I love your username!

Dang I guess monday?😭
I received the email about the Halloween Closer Look at UCCOM event for interviewed applicants. I don't think I can go because I'm OOS and I can't take enough time off from work to fly there and back, but I'm concerned that would show lack of interest, especially while we're still waiting for decisions. Am I overthinking this or should I try to attend?

I am attending as an IS (about a 4 hr drive for me, if anyone else in the CLE area hmu if u tryna carpool) but it genuinly seems low-key since they dont ask for AMCAS ID or anything identifying besides name and undergrad.I received the email about the Halloween Closer Look at UCCOM event for interviewed applicants. Anybody hear anything yet? Wonder if we will hear something tomorrow. Last cycle it looks like a solid amount of decisions came out around this time.

Having a gut feeling they will not release decisions prior to their Halloween Closer Look...they sent that email out to all interviewees (including ppl who could be rejected/waitlisted). It would be awkward if they called to tell you that you're rejected and you were already signed up for the event. Idk just speculation!

I think you're right. But this school seems to be historically pretty high II --> A conversion rate. Also they have a new interview format this year so they might be spending more time before releasing decisions.Having a gut feeling they will not release decisions prior to their Halloween Closer Look...they sent that email out to all interviewees (including ppl who could be rejected/waitlisted). Like I couldddd go but it would definitely be a trip for me
They are seeing record numbers of applicants this year, their selection committee is behind I was told after speaking with some medical students there. Historically they do not reject post II right away, rather they waitlist. I do not believe this event will have any bearing on your application.Having a gut feeling they will not release decisions prior to their Halloween Closer Look...they sent that email out to all interviewees (including ppl who could be rejected/waitlisted). My thoughts exactly. You should have a general idea about the students you interviewed all the way back in August lolWhy are they sending out IIs right now but not admissions decisions. it fr should not take 2 months to decide if you wanna accept someone or not

Per med student at uc, cycle is well over half way through. They used a new application process this year, with that involved changes and getting used to things. A good takeaway is that they look at more than just your gpa

This is so nerve wracking to be waiting so long. I wish they’d send an update or something. Anybody got any inside info about what tf is going on?

Paying 10 dollar bounty to anyone who calls and gets any tangible information.
one can surely use an app to call with a different number and just use a deeper voice?

Please resist the temptation to do goofy things like this while you are waiting for information.Paying 10 dollar bounty to anyone who calls and gets any tangible information.

The receptionist or clerk answering the phone probably doesn't know when things will happen or is not allowed to give out the information.
guys, adcoms are humans, you shouldnt be scared to call them...with that being said, im volunteering the commenter above me to call 😀Paying 10 dollar bounty to anyone who calls and gets any tangible information.

Per my friend that is a med student at UC, there is not a timeline right now. The lady you would be calling does NOT have an answer, so please leave them alone. The process is taking longer this year, everyone is frustrated, but everyone is also dedicated to getting the decisions right. all that being said, go uccom
