Hi everyone, I had a question, how much did you all expand on for the first question asking about childhood home area. The reason i ask is because there are other questions to talk about underserved background and what not.
There was no box for the first question. Just answer rural, urban or suburban

Question about course classification/ wanting to know if anyone has experience with this- my school only offers one semester of gen chem before orgo, is putting analytical chem ok for the second one? or should I leave it blank.

my app is still not reviewed I’m trying to not worry lol

How long after the app was reviewed did it take for you guys to get the II
I'm wondering the same thing, I submitted my secondary and they emailed me saying they received it on 8/4 and then just now today 9/3 I got an email saying that it has been reviewed. Does that mean I did not get extended an interview invite?

Same. Unsure if this is neutral or good news lol.

For anyone who received an acceptance to Howard Med with a January MCAT retake, what was the timeline from the school receiving your scores, getting an interview invite, then your acceptance? Were you placed on a waitlist? And if you don’t mind sharing, what were your stats? I was encouraged to take it in Jan and apply (already have a score but trying to shoot higher).
I also did a post bacc at another HBCU and they take January MCAT retakes on a case-by-case basis. I guess a follow up question is how can I maximize my chances at getting a late acceptance this cycle when I have a great application?
Thanks!
Would love if any current students can share their experience on this as well if applicable! I pushed my exam and seeking any advice.

do they send a confirmation email when you send an update letter?

Application reviewed email received (OOS/INTL)

Silly question on the secondary questions. Where it said..."Please indicate yes or no and briefly explain." In the text box, did you write "Yes" and start explaining, or just jump straight into explaining if your answer was yes?

I put “yes” then explained 😭 I was just thinking about that the other day

Ugh thanks! I finished mine, but that's been bothering me. Bc if I add it, it throws off the world count and makes it over the limit. But i'll fix it 😭

Is this email (below) separate from the “reviewed” email?
“Thank you for your interest in Howard University College of Medicine (HUCM). This acknowledgement email means that all of your current documents have been received and your file is currently under full review. Due to the volume of applications this could take 6-8 weeks for a full review.…”

Yeah it’s separate

no- im wondering what the order is that they're reviewing them??
I spoke to someone in admission who says it’s common for applications to take more than the 6-8 weeks. But it’s still confusing
