The interview wasn’t bad at all. It was about 40 minutes and very conversational. SDN prepared me well.

same nothing yet. I have a feeling a wave of interview invites will come soon. Been silent in the HBCU's for a while. I got the reviewed message end of October as well.

Yes, big, big disadvantage unfortunately. Nothing you can do now, but I think you should have applied next cycle. Complete in November is tough. I'm struggling with AMCAS (complete late august), but I will say I am a pretty mid applicant. LM 70-71 range. I know if I were complete end of July, I'd have at least gotten an Interview or so... I am getting more love in TMSDAS though. Good luck, I hope you will still have a successful cycle, don't lose hope.

Hi, no you're not at a disadvantage. As long as you submit your secondary application before the deadline you still have a chance. Howard interviews all the way throughout to march. If you look at previous years some people submitted to Howard in December and January and still got an interview and accepted. So don't count yourself out yet. Keep up the hope

I mean.. you are a texas resident. It's pretty known that school's outside of texas have bias towards texas applicants due to texas having a constitutional mandate to prioritize only texas applicants.

Thanks for the insight! Yeah my secondaries were submitted early October and I received the email from HUCM stating that my application is in full review mid October. Hoping for the best!

You are not at a disadvantage. Howard will still be reviewing applicants into next year because they consider January MCAT scores. Like others have said, as long as your primary and secondary are in, you have a chance. Attend first fridays via zoom and read prior threads for success stories.

They typically don’t send out R’s until spring.
