I also interviewed in September and haven't heard anything. Am so curious about how they will release acceptances since it doesn't seem like they accepted a ton of students on 10/15?
Same. I interviewed 9/18. On admit.org all the acceptances they gave were to people who interviewed before me so I am not mega concerned yet. Also at least they're sending out acceptances in October unlike last year when they didn't start until December lol

For OOS its different... they interview 450 people for 45 spots and if we are being generous will accept 80 people off the waitlist - (normally around 70). This puts UMin at a sub 30% post A II for OOS students.

I got an OOS WL last week 🙁

***just found out today you have to go into your applicant portal and select (check box) "yes I accept my waitlist decision" or "I withdraw my application"***

might be helpful for others who have been waitlisted and want to confirm continued interest! (This is the only school I have had to do this for, I got WL at another one too)

Could I ask when you interviewed? Was it for general?

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm surprised they got back to you so quickly I thought they released decisions 6 weeks post-ii?
Thats what they told us. I didnt know i did so bad, I 100% thought my interview went amazing and my interviewers were basically singing my praises after each question. I will say my asychronous portion was terrible so maybe that?

Who knows, sometimes it can be out of our control completely if a school has an idea of what archetypes of people they want to decorate their class with. I also did horrible on the asynch so we shall see. I see you got other interviews and I'm sure those will go well--best of luck!

Well thank you!

That seems to be the case per the 2021 post-II acceptance rate spreadsheet (121/444, 27%), but Admit reports 210/455 (46%) for OOS students last cycle. Curious whether they've been accepting more OOS students or if it normally fluctuates like that from cycle to cycle.

Id wager it is the former. 455 interviews / 210 acceptances for 38 spots is insane. Around 120 sounds much more plausible accounting for WL movement. (They had 14.4% of their class comprise of OOS students for this years entering class)
