Might be an unpopular opinion but honestly I'm starting to believe that most schools don't necessarily go in chronological order by submission date so overanalyzing that stuff is kinda pointless. Tulane is pretty good about not just ghosting you so they would tell you if you are waitlisted.tulane will tell you if you’re on an interview hold, right? seeing some people who were marked completed/under review after me receive decisions today. pretty confused about the order they’re going in
Yeah, it seems like most schools are not doing that. I’ve been marked complete at 90% of the schools I applied to and others who were marked complete after me are receiving interviews/acceptances. Probably using filters that’s a combo of certain metricsMight be an unpopular opinion but honestly I'm starting to believe that most schools don't necessarily go in chronological order by submission date so overanalyzing that stuff is kinda pointless. Yeah, maybe some actual adcoms can chime in here, but I'm pretty sure your stats determine where you fall in the review pile. Ultra high stat applicants probably get put toward the top of the stack and fall more in the "Auto Interview" category, thus quicker invites. Other applicants with more standard stats get put more toward the middle or bottom of the stack, meaning it could take more time. You also could get assigned to a reviewer that's slower or faster than others. We all know that the earlier you submit the better, and lots of school operate on rolling admissions, so choronology certainly has some role at play, but to what extent it's hard to determine.Might be an unpopular opinion but honestly I'm starting to believe that most schools don't necessarily go in chronological order by submission date so overanalyzing that stuff is kinda pointless. me and house just waiting for schools to send us IIs. I think a lot of people have submitted by now, and knowing how long it took to get verified, it may take Tulane pretty long to look at our applications due to the influx of peopleYeah, maybe some actual adcoms can chime in here, but I'm pretty sure your stats determine where you fall in the review pile. The interview is fully virtue, but you still "zoom" with a standardized patient. The session is recorded for the adcom to review. (It was a very fun experience in my opinion.)Does Tulane still do the standardized patient part of their interviews now that they are fully virtual?
Awesome, thank you!The interview is fully virtue, but you still "zoom" with a standardized patient. The session is recorded for the adcom to review. (It was a very fun experience in my opinion.)
I think 4-6 weeks post your interview day, according to Tulane's website. When do they start releasing decisions?
True, but the earliest any AMCAS school can give an offer is October 15 so people who interviewed early will have to wait longer than 4 weeksI think 4-6 weeks post your interview day, according to Tulane's website.
I think October 1st is the earliest day for ED and October 15th for RDWhen do they start releasing decisions?
Same hereMy application has been under review since 8/6, has anyone already heard back regarding interviews or rejections that was under review past that date?
I know there was discussion about this earlier in the thread already but was this “under review” email different than the “Tulane SOM: Application Complete” email lol? And if so how far apart were the two. Asking for a friendSame here
Yes, they are two separate emails. I got the under review email approximately 2 weeks after the application complete email.I know there was discussion about this earlier in the thread already but was this “under review” email different than the “Tulane SOM: Application Complete” email lol? Does this rule not apply for early decision? I've seen people receive acceptances from schools like MCG already this cycle and other people who received acceptances as early as September for ED at Mercer last cycle.True, but the earliest any AMCAS school can give an offer is October 15 so people who interviewed early will have to wait longer than 4 weeks
I believe ED is the exception to this rule. I'm pretty sure Oct 15 only applies to RD.Does this rule not apply for early decision? Congrats!! When were you under review?+1 II OOS received 9/8
I think Tulane sends out ED acceptances on October 1stDoes this rule not apply for early decision? I've seen people receive acceptances from schools like MCG already this cycle and other people who received acceptances as early as September for ED at Mercer last cycle.
Probably around mid August is when I got that email sorry, I don't remember exactly. Fairly fast turnaround time I feel like.Congrats!! When were you under review?
I am in the same boat. No under review email. I even submitted around August 1 actually.Anyone submit around August (application complete) get the under review email ? I submitted 8/15 and haven’t heard anything yet

Tbf the majority of the earliest interview slot options were in December, so maybe they try to fill slots up for the rest of the year then restart in December to fill next years slots?Admit org trends make it seem like only people who submit in July get any real communication and then submissions after that are screwed till December onwards :/
Me submitting in july hearing nothing back be like.. lmaoAdmit org trends make it seem like only people who submit in July get any real communication and then submissions after that are screwed till December onwards :/
I wonder if those are interviews for potential acceptance or just interviews for wait list at this pointA friend of mine who submitted 7/31 got an II yesterday. Earliest dates are all in December now.
I think just for acceptance. Going back in the thread you can see people with interviews saying earliest dates were Sept, then Oct, Nov, and now Dec. Plus they interview well into the following year as well.I wonder if those are interviews for potential acceptance or just interviews for wait list at this point
based on the 2024-2025 admit.org data it doesn't seem like Tulane does interviews for waitlists especially given how many people they outright reject or place on hold in the beginning of the cycle.I wonder if those are interviews for potential acceptance or just interviews for wait list at this point
well i got an "under review" email on 8/1 and haven't heard a peep since! not really sure what their process is hahaYeah, same. I submitted 7/23 and haven't gotten an "under review" email or anything.
Same I’ve been under review since 8/6 and haven’t heard anythingwell i got an "under review" email on 8/1 and haven't heard a peep since! not really sure what their process is haha
No news is good news especially for this school. I was under review on 8/4 and had people get IIs before me who got that under review email a couple days/1-2 weeks later. I still ended up with an II a week ago so I think you should be fine for now.well i got an "under review" email on 8/1 and haven't heard a peep since! not really sure what their process is haha
thanks! and yes i've considered it good news so far. squeaked past at least one round of mass rejections, so that is a victory!!!No news is good news especially for this school. I think the consensus is it means nothing till they send you a rejection or something else. Live laugh loveGuys what does it mean to have been under review since 7/10...😅I have not received a rejection or interview hold, but I'm scared that I will be lumped into the big rejection pile at the end of the cycle.
