Just submitted my secondary today. Good luck to everyone applying! Does anybody know how long it usually takes for interview invites or rejections?
Hey @Luvshok, it's all good. If you end up going back to look it up, I'd appreciate it if you post what you find. Thanks for your help. If it really is that quick of a turn around, then I think I'll wait to finish submitting most of my other secondaries. Secondary apps are so dang expensive and CUSOM is my top choice anyway. It was just too risky to apply through the EDP even though I really wanted to.
No...we have quite a lot of non-christian students. But they are hoping you will practice in north carolina, which means you will be dealing with a lot of christians so you will need to be as ok with others being christian as you want them to be ok with you not being christian. You will hear christian views when we do the large ceremonies as the university is baptist and the presidents are baptist preachers, but it doesn't happen in day to day lifequick question. the mission statement states that they want to "prepare community-based osteopathic physicians in a Christian environment." will i be selected against if I am not Christian/religious?
In the secondary they asked to list experiences NOT included in AACOMAS application. Is it okay to leave this section blank if I already put all my experiences in AACOMAS? Will it look bad?
It depends on if their religious association is important to you in terms of your decisionShould I talk about my religious beliefs and its similarity to CUSOM's religious belief and mission?
is it necessary to mention religion or should i treat this secondary like any other school.
Is there a secondary fee? If so where do you go to pay it? Just submitted secondary and it didn't hold out an "insert cash here" sign....odd.
Got the "under close review" email today. Not sure what that means.
my e-mail says "file is now complete and ready for final review"...Did we get different messages?
@mk2015 @med candidate : I got an email saying: "Please be advised that your secondary application and application fee have been received by Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. You can expect an updated status in the near future once your complete application has been verified." Is this the same thing you got?
my LORs are all on AACOMAS. Do I have to contact AACOMAS and have them sent or does AACOMAS just do it for me??Yours should mean that the have your secondary, and you money. And are just waiting on LORs or MCAT score or something else to clear and be verified before they send you the email that your application is complete

Your avatar is priceless...literally just made my day, my favorite movie and scene.Yeah, you're probably right. Thanks for the advice.
No, this is not the same message I got. Mine said:
"Thank you for submitting your primary application to Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. Your application has been reviewed and at this moment we would like to bring your application to the Pre-Screen Committee for an in depth review. We are very interested in your candidacy and will be discussing your application within the next few weeks.
Once we review your application with the committee we will contact you with a status update.
Please feel free to contact us by email at [email protected] with any questions you may have."
(I have not received a secondary invite if that's unclear)
They received my primary, but the message I got was...
"Thank you for submitting an initial application through AACOMAS to Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. Your application has been received and we look forward to reviewing your credentials. The committee will begin reviewing applications during the next two weeks and will be certain to follow-up with you by e-mail regarding the status of your application at that time."

Hang in there, I literally got mine a few days ago, and was initially put under the "close" review after submitting my primary.Anyone still not get a secondary or get one recently? I'm starting to consider this a loss.

Also I have no idea when the physician that wrote me a LOR graduated, can I still submit it without entering the year?
Hey guys! I have another question for @Luvshok and @sb247 I still have a few classes to take, do you guys know how the admissions committee views community college classes? There is a state university here too but it has such a high crime rate that I really don't feel comfortable going there... 🙁 any advice would be helpful!
Thank you @Luvshok ! 🙂 but I was also wondering if community college classes are as well accepted as university classes by Campbell admissions? I've read on sdn that some schools don't really take them seriously..As long as the classes will be completed by the time of matriculation you'll be fine. Lots of students don't complete all coursework by the time they interview.
