Jody was having an even worse night tonight than last. She was trying to run down a lead on how someone could escape death, but as usual was being obstructed at every turn. Just when things were darkest, her new "friend" Gabriel showed up.
"S'up?" Gabriel opened. But before Jody could even open her mouth Gabriel shushed her quiet with a concerned look on his face. He quickly lead her away around the block, and back into the light. "Someone is after me it seems. I mean, there aren't a lot things for me to fear, but I am not completely safe either. " he whispered.
"Are you sure they mean you harm?" Jody asked. "Can't say" he replied, continuing, "there are some misguided souls who think if you not on their team, you are their enemy. That is a very limited view, but who am I to complain. I'd rather make them look ridiculous than change their minds."
Jody started to object, trying to get Gabriel's help tracking her lead, but he was distracted tonight, and not in a mood to help. As he left her, he said "I think I am going to set up a little trap for my nosy friends tomorrow. That should shake things up" he smirked, and he was off.
Jody despondently returned to the station. Tonight was fruitless for her, she hoped others had better luck.

Benny could feel the Alpha Vampire in his mind. While he was unconscious, his dreams and memories of Purgatory morphed into the Alpha’s face. He saw images of a vampire army that would aid Lucifer in taking down everything that stood between him and total destruction of God’s creation. He saw what Lucifer had been doing, what was coming, knew that it was either join them or die. He planned to do neither. As his consciousness returned, he walled off his deepest thoughts and tensed his muscles.
When he opened his eyes, the Alpha was sitting across from him, looking out of place in the shack where Benny was being held. He was proper as ever, except for the blood that coated his sleeve and spread across the front of his suit.
“Oh don’t worry,” the Alpha said when he noticed Benny eyeing the blood, “I didn’t kill your friend. Just his brother.”
Benny roared and strained against the straps that held him. It was almost entirely real rage, but was also strategy.
“Stop,” the Alpha commanded, and Benny did, careful to look like he was still attempting to disobey. The Alpha smiled. “See? Your re-education has already begin. When we are done here, you will be ready to serve me, as you should.” Benny gritted his teeth. But when the Alpha told him to smile, he did. He allowed himself to be puppeted, long enough for the Alpha to believe that it was working. Long enough for the pride to take over. The Alpha released Benny from his restraints and told him to stand.
“Welcome back to the family,” he said, holding his arms out in a gesture of embrace. Benny reached out and slashed across his throat with one clawed hand. It couldn’t have hurt him much, but it did take him by surprise, and Benny was able to rush past him and out the door.
He raced through the trees, unsure of where he was or where he was going. He had to find Dean. Not for a moment did he look back. If the Alpha was following him, he would know soon enough, and he would fight him. Ancient or not, every vamp had a weakness. He knew from personal experience, and he knew from a lifetime spent in Purgatory, fighting off monsters that humans would never even dream of.
But it wasn’t the Alpha Vampire who found him. Unbeknownst to him, Lucifer had been on his way to have a chat with the Alpha. Let’s just say he was less than pleased that his perfect vessel had been killed. He burned with a deep rage, and when he saw Benny charging away from the Alpha Vamp’s hideout, the rage grew deeper. He had known what the Alpha had been up to, why he had been sidetracked from the main mission, why Sam had ended up dead. This little bloodsucker. He stopped Benny in his tracks and flung him against a nearby tree with a flick of his wrist.
Benny recovered quickly and rushed at him, but Lucifer merely stepped aside. If this beast wasn’t going to join the cause, there was no reason to keep him around.
Lucifer snapped his fingers, and watched as bits of vampire exploded into the night.
Dead is @PippyPony, who was Benny, a vampire who could avoid most night actions and would learn who tried to perform them.
