I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but how do I get CCOM my MCAT scores? I took it two years ago, and all of my other schools have it with no problems (it was already released to AACOMAS). On my CCOM checklist, it still has an "X". Any ideas?

Thanks!

You've done everything correctly. CCOM just takes a couple of weeks to update the status page. It'll show up. If it isn't there in a week or so from now, let them know.

I interviewed on 10/14. I hope I'm included in the batch so that I can cancel my other interviews! I'm guessing that the status page should be updated by tomorrow, so I'm gonna try my best to refrain from compulsively checking every 5 minutes!

Ooohhh goodness! I'm not going to be able to focus at all today ... good luck everyone 🙂 May our online statuses change soon haha!

Any word about people who were interviewed on 10/6?
I have another interview scheduled on 11/04 and haven't bought my airplane ticket yet! I would like to know soon so I can decide if I should go to Florida or not...
anyone call today or any status page updates?

I'm definitely super scared and anxious today too! I spoke with admissions yesterday and the lady said they were getting ready to send out decisions and that she doesn't know if they were already sent, but if not they are sending them right now. If anyone sees any change on the status page at all let us know!!!

Im off to Chicago today...see you tomorrow CCOM! 😀

Evidently I'm on the interview waitlist at CCOM...whatever that is.

Mosspoh- did you contact them or did they email you letting you know about the interview waitlist?

Chocobear- I've seen second city before... couple years ago though

My parents said I got a letter a few days ago. So nice of them to only tell me I have mail when I ask.

Second City is awesome. I'd recommend checking out whatever show is on at the Main Stage, though. My friends and I watched a show about a month ago called Textually Active at Donny's Skybox (in the same building) and it wasn't that great. You get what you pay for.

For whoever is planning on going to CCOM, and perhaps thinking of living in the city - the ONLY 24-hour Starbucks in the city is located right next to Second City. I spent a lot of my time during undergrad there.

Looks like the website hasn't been updated yet! And I just checked the mail and didn't get anything from them either. 🙁

Ahh, the waiting game...

I interviewed on 10/6 and I just called to find out about any updates..the lady told me that the committee has met but she hasn't received any authorization to send out the letters yet and she can't say when she will be able to send them out 🙁
hopefully soon...

Interview waitlist? How does that work? It's October, it's not like they could have possibly filled all the spots, right?

Ok, and now I'm all like "crap I haven't checked my mail in a while, maybe I've got a CCOM interview waitlist letter myself!"

Guess I'll go check my mail now....

Those of you who got interviews, how long did it take after completing the app to get the interview?

From time I was complete, it took about a week to get the interview invitation email.

I've never witnessed the birth of neurosis before. I feel like I should have scrubbed in, first.

I'm not that crazy, honest. I'm at the library right now, I'm not actually leaving to go check my mail. I have, like, actual stuff to do. 😛

I just haven't heard from them in a while and it's making me nervous.

Well the particular show I saw was funny for certain but I'm pretty sure a lot of it went over my head (lots of sports material haha). And yes it was a bunch of different skits.

I've been waiting what seems forever for an interview invite also. I'm becoming obsessive checking the website. Driving me crazy...

OK- so I'm thinking of applying to CCOM. I like Chicagoand the 'burbs, and I want to be a doc, but I cant find any info about CCOM other. Their website is not very informative. Its academic philosophy is identical to every other DO's, and aside from student clubs & organizations, nothing on the site makes CCOM stand out. I'm not bashing, I'm appealing to anyone out there who can give me insight as to why CCOM rocks and why I should work to apply there. Thanks!

I just landed a couple hours ago, and am at a hotel in Lombard. Looks like we'll be meeting CCOM together tomorrow.

Great! Can't wait to meet you both...now to find some dinner.

Do they not have crosswalks over here?

LOL! I used to live in Oak Brook, and now that I think about it, they really don't have that many crosswalks out there in the burbs. The city itself is an entirely different story.

If you have a car, head over to Yorktown. There have been many improvements made over the past couple of years - not that it was bad in the first place - and there are many restaurants you can eat at. I noticed that a lot of the CCOM students live in that area. It would definitely be a sweet place to live. It's only about 5-10 minutes away from the school also!

Haha I was thinking the same thing! The only place to eat even close to my hotel was a mall about a half a mile away; I guess it's a lovely evening for a walk. Just be careful crossing intersections

I think it is just another stopping point where a school can't make up their mind about you. I might sound good on paper, but have one or two flaws that kind of put me on the back burner for them.

I live minutes from CCOM! I wish you guys the best of luck tomorrow! Yea there should be lots of restaurants along Butterfield Rd. which turns into 22nd Street. Got Portillo's, Hooter's, Buona Beef, Panera, Chipotle, Qdoba, Cheesecake Factory, Benihana, Ra Sushi, Champps, Uncle Julio's, Quizno's, CPK, Kona Grille, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Cheeseburger in Paradise, McCormick & Schmick's, etc etc. Great area!

Hey at least you weren't rejected!

I opted not to cross the intersection at all.

Good luck to us tomorrow!!

Anyone in Downers Grove right now? I'd like to go out for dinner or drinks. let me know.

Anybody been to Second City? Seen Campaign Supernova, perhaps?

Second City is great, but to be honest, Campaign Supernova was not their best performance. I'm not sure if the main stage is showing it yet, but when I saw Campaign Supernova it was on the 2nd stage. In general, seeing a show on the second stage is hit or miss. Most of the talent gets filtered to the main stage. But, if you are coming to Chicago for your interview and want to kill some time, it would be a fun experience nonetheless. Are you coming to Chicago by yourself? If not, and you decide to go to Second City, grab some dinner at Piece. Its a microbrewery and pizza spot. The beer is amazing and the pizza is real good too. It isn't authentic deep dish, but your regular pizza. The atmosphere is great and is just a quick cab ride away from Second City. Its located near the Damen/North Ave/Milwaukee Ave intersection in Bucktown.

No, I checked today. Interviewed on Oct 6.

No change for me either and I interviewed the 3rd ...

For everyone waiting, a point of reference might be to look at what happened for last month's adcom meeting. The online system updated in the early morning of the 2nd of the month.

Unfortunately, it might take another week or two.

Fortunately, you don't have to freak out (just yet) if you don't see a status change.

Did the Admissions Committee meet recently or something?

For the September batch of interviewees there was a one-week gap between the committee meeting and the status changes online, FYI.

I just check my status on the CCOM account website and when I clicked under Matricultion/Payment it has a whole bunch more information including a line where it says I've been offered a position at Midwestern!! Wahooo!:soexcited:
They must have just updated it a little bit ago.

PS- I interviewed on Sept 29.

Congrats Kyro!!! I GOT ACCEPTED TOO!!! Yes!!!!! CCOM is my top choice DO school so now I can cancel all the other interviews and just celebrate!!! I found out via the status page too, btw. It changed from a one-liner to a page full of information. When I first saw your post Kyro, I was so scared I was light-headed. I completed my work at work first, then picked a quiet moment and grasped my chair tightly as I checked... and voila!!! I'm all smiles 🙂 😀

I interviewed the 26th and nothing has changed on my status page, but congrats to you guys that got in!

Hey guys I've been complete at midwestern for about 6 weeks and I still haven't heard anything. I know that the adcom is busy these days but I was wondering is it common for applicants for to go that long without any update? thanks

Hey meganmarie, wait a little while. When I spoke with the admissions lady on the phone, she made it sound like they do these in batches. Like they sign off a few interviewee's decisions and change their statuses, then they take a water break and do another batch. When I spoke with her Wednesday, she said that she thinks some letters have gone out, but not all, and that the rest were due to be mailed in the next few days, hence not all statuses have changed. Keep checking and keep your chin up!

Here, here!! I'm with you proctodoc, CCOM is my top choice out of the schools I interviewed at and I couldn't be more excited! 👍

I am in the same boat. I was complete on 9/2 and haven't heard anything. I emailed the admissions office and just got a generic response saying that they review applications on a rolling basis and they will alert me of my status when they know. I'm interested in the school, but I have been accepted elsewhere and will probably close up shop and put down a desposit. The fact that many other people who were complete after me have gotten interviews/acceptances tells me that my app was likely put on the back burner (possibly the interview waitlist I've heard about).

Congrats to everyone - I just got an acceptance as well!!! Yay!!!

Hi Airlife. I went through the same situation last year. After my interivew, I didn't hear back from CCOM for well over 6 weeks. During this time I was receiving acceptance at other schools, which of course needed deposits before I ended up hearing back from CCOM. The school is notorious for being slow with its communication. I don't know if you have contact information with the other students you interviewed with, but if so, try contacting them to see if they have been accepted yet. If they have and you still haven't heard anything, you may want to place your deposit at another school for safety's sake.
