Congrats to those who got acceptances today! My interview today went really well. I won't post a giant thing about it because others have done that before me. Basically, I agree with what everyone else said. DMU is amazing!

I know I wasn't expecting anything until next week. They must review applications on a certain day of the week and include all interviewees for the previous days.

As for the EAP, you need to have pretty stellar stats to be considered (high GPA + MCAT). So, good for you and I'll see you next year!

Actually, you don't need to have taken the MCAT before applying for the EAP. If accepted, you just have to meet their minimum requirement.

Accepted! It feels so good. I had a fast track interview on 9/7.

Oh, did I forget to tell you? They moved your day to the 24th so we can hang out. Sorry for the confusion, but I promise it'll be worth it. 😀

Sad day, now I have to pay to change my plane tickets, car rental, and hotel. Bummer. Hey! But at least I get to meet ModernAlchemist! Woo hoo!

Thanks for all the interview advice and school info. The DMU campus is great and the interview day is really professional and well put together. It is going to be a long three week wait!
 
I got an email from DMU today and thought it could have been an II...but nope. It was a "Discover Des Moines University" email. Made my heart skip a beat haha. I have been complete for almost a month

I got the same thing! I heard a buzz, looked at my phone, and saw something from Des Moines. I paused my music, brought up my email, and assumed "Victory Jumping Position". I interviewed 9/14 and they only send acceptances through email - WL or rejection is snail mail. Boo!

It basically went like this:

Actually, it looks like you're right. I thought I remembered the admissions lady saying WL/Rejection was through massive mail, but looks like some people got WL via email...

I think it's definitely worth a shot. Could only help really...
Tell you what, just hang out in Des Moines and then by the time we get there you'll know the best place to go eat/chillax. Yeah?

I had BBQ at Jethros. It was pretty good and it's just a few miles from the campus.

But... I must agree with this. The only news in des moines relates to either corn field acreage, or the soy bean market. Or the Gigglin' Goat, which burned down.
