I'm still waiting for more substance from everyone besides the presumptive misgivings about other people's alleged lack of insightful contributions. FS is weird, Cray is weird, and all the great game play yesterday netted a tie between the BDSM girl and kata who was lynched and turned out to be a village shark. AM's avatar confused me for a moment and I had her pegged as Kam. AM is more pressing than I've seen in the past and there are some noobs up in this place. The Big Lebowski is some movie that you may or may not have heard of, and I'm disappointed PP didn't ask me about my wolf reference (also from some other obscure flick in the past). I'll drop in later this evening to throw a lynch vote for one of the above, likely, but ssd is also on my radar for riding those bandwagons (as has been stated above and why I originally cast my vote in that direction). And now, real substance:

How would you know what is weird for me?? And @greeneyegal92, I *always* post so much as villager it makes people want to lynch me. Read past threads. Ask enough people you're sure statistically it's villagers vouching for my play style.

I am so f*ing tired of being a lynch target when I'm one of the most dedicated and vocal villagers there are. Sure, some people hate the walls of text and my brand of thinking, but I keep people talking. That's how we trip up wolves and make the ones trying to coast by being quiet, stick out like sore thumbs.

You keep bringing up that statistically people are villagers and it just feels like a weird argument to me. Of course statistically people are villagers - what's more important is that we suss out the small fraction of wolves that we also know must exist. Just because, on average, the people who vouch for you are villagers doesn't mean that there can't be wolves in there throwing out vouches. Also, just because someone is a villager doesn't mean they can automatically pick out every other villager on thread.

What's happened is that I've settled down a bit with experience. There's been less talk of my "crap logic", and long posts, the comments are less cutting. Also, no one tried to lynch me for my weird sleep hours (I think one person asked, then let it go), tons of likes, basically, my normal village play. In fact, it came up last game that I seemed mellower.

Of course I'm going to hate a tendency to try to lynch me for regular village play, because it means the village is going to lose a villager, and I'm going to get cut early on and not get to play. And I do believe I have a lot to offer as a player. I'm tried to take feedback too, and calm my ass down so people are a little less likely to lynch me for being me. What happened yesterday is that no one said anything that hurt enough for me to start rage-posting and threaten to quit (which seems to happen at least once a game). I don't do it just because someone votes me, I do it when my feelz get hurt. I've said over and over what does that.

I didn't say they should vouch I'm villager - I meant they could vouch for my villager play. I'm tired of being lynched for my village play, even when I've tried to adjust so it seems less annoying or sketch, which is then seen as sketch... there's no winning.

And I know what argument people have *every* time someone says, "hey, people can vouch this is how I play" - that it's pointless because it could be wolves saying so. Well, they can't all be, can they?

So let's make it clear, I'm not asking for faith. That's dumb. But I am gonna say, weird walls o' text (which FS and green eyed have said are somehow proof of my sketchness) is my normal and not sketch for me. Maybe for another player. Take it for what you will.

It wasn't your rage posting that made me think you were village last game. And you are preaching to the choir about getting lynched as a villager. I played for over a year before I was a wolf, and I was constantly lynched towards the beginning of games. I think Dy and WZ both told me during a basics game that my village play was wolfy. :shrug: In another game I was told all my theories were stupid (and they were also almost all right, because most weren't theories, they were things I knew for a fact based on my role). In the moment I may have been annoyed by those comments, but it was a fleeting moment. I think you need to grow a thicker skin in these games. I've gotten frustrated with plenty of people, enough that LIS once said he thought I didn't like him (in the game, not real life), when actually I like playing with him a lot and I often agree with him. You lived until end game last time, so chill. This is a game, your feelz shouldn't be getting hurt at all. Hell, STL backstabbed his own fiancé in a game, as have several other couples that have played together. It's a game of deception and manipulation, but none of it should carry over into real life.

I personally felt your response last night to lynch votes was off. I could be 100% wrong, and I'm ok with that. I also didn't want to see kata lynched, but I had no strong village vibes from her to help defend her. I know walls of text are normal for you, I've seen your posts in other threads. If you are going to be annoyed for being lynched for your typical village play, well, maybe this isn't the game for you. More villagers are lynched during games than non-villagers (most games anyway), and all of those people are lynched due to village play that someone found sketchy or was able to twist into sounding sketchy.

If you search her posts in isolation they all have elipses at the end, but when you click on the actual post she didn't have them. No idea why. Just noticed this when I did it.

Okay on second read through: Paws is probably my top wolf candidate. I do feel kinda bad about lynching her again early in the game though. Pippy is being really active and less insightful then I remember which makes me put her in my wolfy category (she likes being a wolf therefore she might be more active if she was a wolf vs a villager?). AM, Stl, and LIS are giving me slight feels but am conflicted on them right now. Most people I don't have good reads on yet or haven't posted a lot to give me anything.

I think this is weird. Villagers usually just say what they feel to catch wolves and not do whatever they can to stay alive as long as possible

Ok, I'ma gonna backtrack now. I know I voted for VMH D1 (right? VMH is one of the hydra players?), but this post is pure village.

Pippy still bothers me, but in a bizarro-world way - she swore she was going to be busy and not be able to play much and then has been here. Makes me think possible wolf-overcompensating.

As much as CrayCray makes my head explode with a) the incredible circular 'logic', and b) the never-ending posts from CrayCray about how CrayCray plays or would play (seriously, Crayola spends more time talking about Crayola than anyone else), I have to concede that it's pretty typical of the last two village games by CrayCray. For what that's worth.

@SnowshoeDog143 can you summarize the Paws vote? (Due to skimming, I'm not seeing the reason.)

I don't like the CrayCray vote (see above comments).

I'm ok with the AM vote because there's some weird **** going on there.

Go back and read my previous games, I try to be helpful. I tried to reason out someone in mermaid game was being third party not wolf and everyone said that was wolfy/sketchy and I got lynched.

I still think you're village which is why I didn't bandwagon on you or kata yesterday. I think FS is a wolf and am worried about AM a bit, especially since she is defending me so much which is actually not like her. She didn't defend me in Mermaid when she knew I was village cuz she was afraid it would take her down too. Why so ballsy this game?

And for ****s sake what so wrong with hoping to live past D2 in my third game?? I'm village so if I live longer, I'm helping village. I vote for wolves when I see them and avoid bandwagons when I don't see the reasoning

Hell maybe I am wrong about you snowy, you do actually remind me of PBC two games ago when I called her out and she went after me and got me lynched. And she was a wolf. You are also a really new player, right? Maybe getting advice from folks on how to lynch villagers?
 
Ugh. I keep being in the top, which sorta forces me to do a self-preservation vote if I can. If I had intel on why I should die in the place of the other top running candidates, I would. But I don't. And I sure as hell don't want to die and it turns out it was in place of a wolf.

I hate the fact that I typically suspect those going after me for being wolves, not even as a retaliatory thing, but I have to suspect anyone that goes after such an easy lynch target (me) and could easily hide behind my general sketchiness to explain their "mistake." Just hard to tell when it's villager on villager or something more nefarious.

FS & greeny are coming out of nowhere. Jil's reasoning I get a little better.

I'm going to review the thread a bit more and give my reads in a bit.
 
This rotation has been much less kind to me than I expected...

lynch Jil to get a vote out there based on the "feels" I got from what I've read of D1 so far. Just want to make sure I actually get a vote on the board before lynch close.

Cray is not a bad vote, she is very hard to read because of post vomit, and comes off sketchy always as well. Hence its easy to skate by as a wolf. And I get that early game is the place to technically get rid of people like that because there is the least amount of info. With that, I still really don't like that lunch, and am wanting to look closer at those on that lynch, 1 is likely to be a wolf, if not 2.

I just want to say that in your game, when I was chaos and Crayola was my leader of the dead, she was pretty freakin obvious as non-village. I'm not getting that vibe here.

Your favorite thing to do with me is vote dds, dds, dds, until you can get enough people to bandwagon. Sometimes it works (like those small percentage of times I'm a wolf), and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why it should matter what I say because it's not like there's anything I could say satisfactorily and to your liking. However, as you persist saying I add nothing of value to the game, the reverse is absolutely true about your style of play. It's an easy out strategy if you're a wolf, though, to persistently try to put me under the axle. You simply wait until I've given enough people paws to have them pounce.

I would like to see cray start voting earlier. This waiting until the last minute thing is kind of wolfy behavior (whether it is normal for her or not).

I'm not sure what others are seeing in AM's posts that has her name brought up a bunch today. I know lots of people always think she's sketch, I'm just not seeing it right now.

For those that think I'm sketch, I don't know what to tell you other than I'm smarter than to bring attention like this to myself by kind of tunneling on one person. That's not something I'd do as a wolf. (I know, easy for me to say).

I already explained. I don't get on the thread until around 4 pm PST most days, and it takes some time to catch up reading, have breakfast, type WW novel posts, and the one time I'm NOT going to vote early, is when a miniature bandwagon has started on me. When I'm in the lead, I'm not giving up my vote to save myself. I'm not ready to die for the likes of some of the others nearly in the lead. I have no way of knowing if I'm dying for a wolf.

Yes, paws is stay positive. I played two games, lynched D1, d2, sat out last game cuz I thought I wasn't going to play, and now am playing my third game. Ever.

You can change your vote at any time. Even if using it for self-prez initially, you can lynch someone else later on should it become unnecessary.
