Does anyone know the admission stats for Lucom?? I called the school and they told me it is 3.67 and a 503 mcat which seems like way to high stats for Lucom. Am I way off base here??

Yeah, basically... The GPA is slightly higher than the average DO (I would also bet that GPA has a bimodal distribution), but their MCAT is on par.

Even at that, SDN gives LUCOM hate because of their parent institution. Their first match was decent. Additionally, LUCOM can recruit from a application pool that places value on the school’s intense religious standing...

The application pool is getting quite large.... and a rising tide lifts all boats.

I appreciate the detailed response. That really sucks I was hoping they could be my safety school since my stats are lowish haha. Such is life though.

Must be all of the Theology coursework their students take..

No, but seriously there are better safety schools out there: BCOM, all the new branch campuses of old schools that have opened up recently

~3.4 CGPA 3.52 SGPA 502 mcat. Would you mind advising chances and school list??
I suggest all these schools with your stats:
ACOM
ARCOM
BCOM
UIWSOM
LMU-DCOM
UP-KYCOM
MU-COM
WVSOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
LECOM (all schools)
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia
NYIT-Arkansas
Some schools may require a DO LOR. Apply in June an submit all your secondaries by July and you should receive several interviews.

Thank you very much. Would it hurt my chances at all if I was complete by end of August/early sep?

Sorry last question I swear! If retook the mcat what score would make me competitive for all DO schools with my gpa?
IMO 506+ is high enough and shows genuine improvement. There is no perfect answer to this question though, it really depends on a wide variety of aspects in your application. I think you could be competitive at all DO schools with your current stats if your EC's, clinical experience, PS, LOR's are all strong

There is some risk to retaking the MCAT since it is possible you could have a new score less than 500. You are fine with your current MCAT of 502 for the schools I listed.

their first match was actually really impressive, and their stats are on the rise. more and more students are applying there and their average MCAT has risen. So 503 seems pretty reasonable, though I'd expect it to be higher after this year and the next

Not at all too high. LUCOM receives over 3,000 applciations per year for about 150 seats (that's about a 5% acceptance rate). I can't speak to the acceptance stats because I can't find any info other than the minimum listed on LUCOM's website. I do have the official match statistics this year 2019 which are impressive
