I mean.

2 Jesters + Cult . Is a lot that town should have to take care of *quickly*

The double jester makes it likey that town wastes two yeet, so killing power heavy town is to be expected ? Though a Serial Killer in that balanced fits super nicely
Was your SK in Numbers a traditional SK, or was it a stumping thing?

Might I suggest "anti-town" or "anti-village" as a grab-all term for the evil factions rather than "scum"? Two reasons: many communities use "scum" as synonymous with "mafia" or "wolves". Also, it's a bit of an ugly term that many people don't like having stuck on them -- some places have phased it out on that basis.

This isn't intended as judgment on anyone for using the term. I grew up on it in my first 40-some games on RYM.

I like this idea.

Can I vote for something like beasties or beasts or something that doesn’t have a dash in it since I play exclusively on mobile lol

I'd understand it without the dash too.

The OG Syndicate term was “baddies”

It's a vibe/perspective read, but I just have trouble seeing sk!shelter in how she's approached the day. But it's not that hard to read Clem as being in "the game's over but nobody else knows it" mode.

In my home community we just have

Villa / Town
Wolves / Mafia
Neutrals (3p with inclusive wincon)
Independent (3p with exclusive wincon)

And we usually dont address the subgroup that would be wolves/mafia+independents , but we often use something like "threats to village" as in, people we need dead to reach our wincon

I figured y'all would have just called the mafia "SilverKeiths"

I love this. The "4" digit suggests that Zenge didn't merely truncate and round (because if we assume the next digit is 3, we wouldn't round up to 4). Instead, this level of precision is deliberate. Let's give Zenge a hand for such dedicated efforts.

I haven't verified that's actually a correct representation of the time remaining, but shush

Sadly he has been more busy with life stuff, but maybe I could convince him to play a game here on SDN 🤔 .

But only if boq also plays tbh

But Silver playing here would mean beng with someone who is fairly accurate when they read me. Dangerous stuff tbh

I'd love to hear @Stagg737's perspective. That IC nametag is quite valuable.
I'm not really caught up, but my views haven't really changed from my previous statement. I still think Clem needs to go. Was there a post with who killed who last night/death pools? Shelter's kills do seem fairly pro-village, but again I haven't seen a game with an every night vig. I realize AM referenced one and depending on game set up it could be an appropriate game for village to have high firepower.

I can just share:

sheltermed killed genny (cult leader)
dyachei killed chicandtoughness (hider/tinkerer)
I killed marmot (jester)

You and Dy are claiming every other night vigs right? So you both kill on odd nights?
Yes, and shelter kills every night. dyachei's role also features protections, so there's a sort of power gradient:

JJJ < dya < shelter

And Shelter kill was a good one. I haven't played a cult game, but my understanding is that wolves would typically be just as invested in killing cult, correct?
Cult and wolves are also against each other, raving towards parity.

That depends on the nature of the cult and what the wolves know about it. Some cults just can't convert wolves, so in those cases they don't worry as much. But technically it is still an opposing faction and they can't both win (at least in my experience). SDN regulars might have better insight on the norms here.

I tend to believe killing the cult does not make sheltermed town, because serial killer or other killing anti-town affiliation other than cult is still possible.

Correct . It may depend based ln gamestate, but generally I'd say just yes

So then it seems like the genny kill was a good move but NAI.

For AI purposes, to me the MKG (that falls in believing shelter clam to kill there which I am inclined to) and mayo one are most Alignment Inidicative.

But still that still doesnt clear them. Specially if we think that the world of "shelter is serial killer whitout actually knowing they were scum and not provilla" is possible.

Did Clem ever say what result he got from the box?

I remember that part. Chic said she intended it to be investigative, so I'd expect some sort of feedback after putting samac's name in.

Yes, chic told that Clem should receive something on samac

I assume it's cause she was culted at the time?

And still I dont get why you put samac's name and not mine there. That action doesnt match with what you were saying in thread at all wowee

And it wasnt much to begin with

Hmm, "investigative" but she died before she could share what the "intended effect" was. So maybe not a straightforward role/alignment peek. Not sure it matters much.
She liked when Clem said it did nothing and neither of them touched it again so I’m guessing that made sense to her but I didn’t ask for any clarification given I was cult at the time

Yeah that was the part where he said he opened it, it was empty, and he put your name in. He didn't say what happened after that (if anything) until just recently. It could be that none of that matters, but it was a loose end.
