For the record I'm VT, I vague claimed "low power town" yesterday but there doesn't seem to be much point in continuing to be vague about it.

She’d also suggested she was unaware of 3ps with standalone win conditions (not helping town or mafia).

She wasn't a normal SK:
"The Grey King (Dark SK) — In Welsh, The Grey King is the Brenin Llwyd, Lord of Cadair Idris. He is Other. However, he is also a Lord of the Dark when it suits him. Each Night he can select one player to kill. He can win as the last player standing (traditional SK win condition), or he can win with the Dark if he manages to kill at least two Light players (Roled Town) and avoid killing a Wolf before he dies."

As I recall she wolf-hunted with her first 2 shots and then died, so she didn't have to reckon with the "killing town to win" part. Just for additional context.
 
@Santygrass your position is basically that it doesn't matter if shelter is a SK as long as she shoots who we want her to, right? If Clem flips 3p sandwich vendor or whatever and the game continues, who would you have her shoot?
 
Why give a sandwich to shelter, if his win condition depends on the recipients staying alive? 🤔
 
If clem is an arsonist I begged him to detonate his only sandwich I think is out to an SK

PSV > Jay / Dya ? Probably.

Basically if game continues after Clem dies, we have to ask ourselves "well, who would we yeet if shelter is town?" And ask that to be shot

Like, if game is *hard* or we have a wrong read, doing this order of actions give us more fire bangbang , we can discuss it and debate about the shot target .

Here comes my dissertation
We have someone we know who has killing power that’s likely scum.
We’re worried someone else may be an arsonist. The only person who is in possession of their item is said killing power scum.
Why do we not go on an yeet the known killing power? We can do the exact same thing with Clem that we’re doing with shelter, ask him to give the sandwich to a sketchy person if the game is still going.

Shelter has been riddled with contradictions.
I asked for something to help village
Wait no I didn’t say I didn’t ask for something specific
Vig and SK are the same right?
Had been an an sk before but had been playing it as “I don’t know any of this and I don’t know what they are”
So if she thought they were the same why would she not ask for SK?
I also don’t believe zenge told her they’re basically the same.

On top of that when she was last an SK she used her shots in a pro town way, further solidifying that.


So I am literally begging you all,
Please let me have this. Just this once.
Let’s yeet shelter first. Then Clem.
 
All we’re doing to do is end up with her shooting a villager tonight and doing this song and dance next cycle.

I joined this game to play for town, to wolf hunt, and asked for something that would allow me to do that. I've never claimed otherwise and I've never intended otherwise. I've been playing for town and have no intent to do anything else. So I'm not sure why I'm required to be dead.

Did you ask for “hey I just want a role that’s helpful for town” because that’s what was implied and when we assumed that you did not correct us
 
I wholeheartedly think taking out the maybe arsonist scum (that only has an item out to the other scum) and leaving the scum with killing power alive on a maybe we continue to control the scum is the wrong way to go
 
Do I think both ways will end up being mechanically fine and end the game? Yes.
I just want the game over this cycle. Not the next.
 
If it’s neither shelter nor Clem, I’d give thought to dya on pure mechanics but also to Santygrass for not always being true to the process. Sometimes he gives me the impression that he wants things he isn’t saying out loud (and pushes very hard for stuff without necessarily considering counterarguments).

If that is your argument, you should be looking at samac first!

And also, I have explained with great detail why I go for the most safe and optimal way of the process tbh

If you had trusted the process in the previous night phase like I had urged you to, Clem would already be dead and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I am not completely convinced that your application of "optimality" is truthful. It probably is, but there's the rub. Probably.

Neither is more safe, either way you potentially get one scum kill if Clem is scum.
You want to use the leashes scum. I want to kill it.

I had no way to confirm you or dyachei would be able to shot (neither of you confirmed the claims) and that you werent converted. I literally said tbat I wanted shelter to have the slots I sussed the most (genny/Clem) in their list . They killed one, and now we can yeet the other.

If they werent, if one of you was converted or didnt have the shot, we could have been ****ed. I am not hiding anyrhing, I am stating facts and logic on why I am making the decisions

That's why I said paranoia was suboptimal. You're not* thinking things through as thoroughly optimality demands that you do.

Please don't take this as pointless dissing. You're probably town, and I understand where you're coming from. But this is an example of* where your notion of what is optimal has led to a suboptimal outcome.

The suboptimal outcome is still good for town. So I think it was right .

Its like making an unnecesary high risk hugh reward play, when you have at your disposal a safe medium reward play. I always go for the second, thats how I play with mech related stuff always

If games ends today or tomorrow with a villa win then it is literally the same. We dont have any reason to rush this and lose advantage while doing so
 
Here th risk is probably super low and dont see us losing. But both by reads and by mech shelter is better to be yoten tomorrow

It’s literally leaving killing scum alive.
Is it not obvious given she’s played SK before and tried to feign not knowing the difference and then got mad when she was called on it?
Cause it seems obvious.
