You dont know if its A or B. Its not good for you (that you know) in A or B ; and it'll be bad in scenario B.

And here is my beef with you: you think I will perform informed "good moves" if town/village, and "bad uninformed moves" if scum. And I simply don't believe that thought.

You immediately assume that there is a threat level between village and town. And since I did not have that same assumption as you in that split second, I cant be town. Even though "village vs town" is a very rare setup, at least for me. Immediately assuming that this is a versus game is, by the way, inviting crossfire. Immediately reaching out a hand to the other non-mafia faction, is the opposite.

In my mind the immediate reaction of a town, seeing that the death tally has more of them than the other faction, should be to be more careful. A wolf may try to use the discovery of different factions to hold momentum. I saw a dissonance there and thought it was fake.
