I'm around, just dealing with a personal crisis + grad school apps. And I'm naturally quiet. So...

There's been some PMing in my group, but mostly chatting between SnS and I. :laugh: I think this is the first time we've been in the same group.

I don't know. I had the heart all of 5 minutes it seemed. No one was talking. Still no one is, not really (Im sure there are some smokey back-room deals going on, which I am not currently privy to), though I still need to go back through and read a little closer - I just finished making sure I wasn't lynched and could still talk in the thread (though I did appreciate the love)

If we can get the heart to the grinch, I think we're golden, but first we have to figure out who the grinch is (obviously) and then get the heart in him. I'd say we probably shouldn't lynch the grinch until we've tried the heart.

stuff at the barn. Hoof picks and lead ropes were very lethal.

Off my rocker? Hardly! I was at least trying to come up with some kind of early lynching rationale. I still think getting rid of good players is as good a strategy as any. I think it's much better than lynching quiet people, RNG, or "gut".

Why should we punish players for being good at the game, by killing them off right away, every game?

There is still a higher chance of a 'good at playing' person being a villager, then being a wolf.

That depends on the game. Sometimes wolves can convert whoever they choose, other times it has to be a certain role.

Oh. Duh. I get it now. You're saying we have the advantage in pre-vet because we know the quality of the pre-vet players? Got it. Sorry, I tried and tried but just couldn't figure out what you meant.
 
The villagers are eating s'mores by their fireplaces (but not Graham cracker mush) and telling stories to each other when they hear a gunshot. Nobody can figure out what happened and they go back to their quiet nights at home. It isn't until a town feast that they notice that FFM is missing.

And that they were eating venison.

FFM, Rudolph is dead. Guess those other reindeer won't make fun of him anymore.

I am just a villager - seriously, if I were a wolf, why would I be drawing so much attention to myself on DAY2??? Was going to respond to the rest, but I just don't have the energy. I am not being a hypocrite, just trying to throw out ideas - spaghetti on the wall, if you will - and see what sticks. It's not personal. This is WW, nothing is personal - the game is based on killing people.

I'm disappointed FFM

You've got to team up a little, roll the dice, early on in a game IMHO if you want to get things moving against the wolves. Or perhaps you did, and those dice came up bad . . .

Here's the thing. Isn't he a bit of an odd pick for here in pre-vet? Has he played a bunch of games with you guys? I don't know. It just seems like a bit of an odd choice as a random wolf kill. So, I'd bet FFM spilled the beans to someone in my group, and now is toast because of it. Though that does also seem a bit obvious, but who would have investigated him to figure out he was rudolph? Are the wolves employing their own RNG strategy? I doubt it.

I think his death is likely the direct result of someone in my house or a lounge connected player.

I should really stop making suggestions that put me in the cross-hairs, but I think I'm also right about this.

I will also point out that only FFM and SOV have been responding at all in any in-house PMs. This is a common pattern I've seen from people playing wolf, especially early on. They get too tied up in wolfy PMs that they forget to appropriately respond to in-house PMs - hell, I think I've been caught that way myself.

I'd point your possible lynches and investigations at this point directly on FTB, devyn, and SOV.
 
FFM has played a few games with us vets before, and has been pretty solid at finding wolves ( think he's always been a villager over here?)

Rudolph? Shiny nose? Steers the sleigh through fog? Maybe protective? Dunno.

Lost the heart (Had it again last night)....still couldn't get it to do anything. Even sent the animated gif to dyachei out of frustration...🙄

I still think jdh's strategy is a little fishy. *****lynch jdh*****. Hopefully someone got some solid info last night. I'll try to check in again before the deadline but work is going to be crazy today so no guarantees.

Although I am not against the idea of lynching quiet players - I feel more than likely, they are not our wolves at this point. Although a few people on the bottom of the post count list have raised some suspicions :eyebrow:

With nothing else to go on in this lynch, I am gonna focus on those riding in the middle. Sure there are a ton of wolves that post a lot, but lets say that there are 4-5 original wolves with 26 people, it is more likely that the majority of them are riding in the middle of the post count.

PS - I can't get on board jdh's theory, only because FFM has played quite a few games here. Not saying there's no wolf in your group, but do you think he would make the mistake of telling someone right away his role?
 
I've played as a wolf (quite a bit...) in the vettie world, and generally if there's a seer we start checking out people who are "acting" important, especially veteran players who are hinting that they might have some type of role, whether it's explicit or implicit. So it might be a decent lead there.

🙄 I'm not a good idea to lynch, I promise. I'd rather not reveal more than that for my own safety.
 
Jdh's theory makes sense, since FFM has played with us a few times. But I think he's too good a player to just slip his role to someone he didn't 100% trust. I'm more inclined to think there's a wolfy seer out there. For now, I'm going with lynch swing. No reason really. I will change my vote if better info comes out.

Your "reasonable argument" makes you just as suspicious as the others. And no I don't agree with your argument simply because FFM has played with us quite a bit so anyone can be just as suspect...
