Because it was mainly the matt thing I've gone over a million times and the the initial 3P point out I've also talked about, plus some vibes, and honestly by the end of it, I didn't feel like typing more and explaining it

Finally getting around to this. Obviously my list is a little diff now so here we go.

Sus because of content: Veggie (the 3p discussion from yesterday), Wonda (poor defenses, she has been consistently leaning on the "wolves wouldn't do XYZ because it's too obvious" logic, offered up jailor/roleblock mechanic pretty quickly, finds me not-so-sus lol), matt/Sporty

Still sus because vibes lol: AM

Neutral: samac, Dubz, runner (hasn't posted a lot which is very different than noob game vibes where they were first an important village role then a converted wolf - I would expect they would be more vocal if they were wolfy), mkg (need more posts!)

Village leans: genny (solely on vibes + similar tone from last game), Dina (), miranda (very different vibes than her previous wolf game), Santy (ditto, also just vibes), Vis (also ditto, has overall felt helpful/wolf-hunting aligned)

Previous village lean that ended up being true: SAR

I just haven't been posting much this game. I've leaned towards posting general strategy posts early (general discussion of how 3p is not beneficial to talk about, etc.) And of the things I have posted, I made a pretty poor claim ("samac is hard to read because did she hasn't given many opinions"), leading to AM, Dubz, and samac herself pointing out I was stretching. (In reality, I skimmed her ISO + she is just hard to read because my vibes-dar isn't working on her, but I felt some pressure to justify why I couldn't read her so I did stretch my excuse).

In short, sucky gameplay lol.

Waiting for all you WIFOMers to come in and be like "idk why would a wolf purposefully say they would find themselves wolfy?!?!"

I don't trust nor listen to tones reads that can't be explained unless the person is known to have a >90% read rate of said tone target.

Actually I think self-awareness is more wolf indicative and wanted to see you expand on that topic to see how I felt about it in regards to your alignment dw

I didn't see you respond to multiple people mentioning genny was wolf-siding last game, so I want to know, with that in mind, why you are village reading her based on last game?

Yes I think people who have known me for a while and have seen me play when I'm busy are still capable of finding me under these circumstances. I think it would be harder for you because 1) you haven't seen me play a more consistently quiet game i don't think and 2) you haven't seen me play scum as a comparison point. So, not really a skill issue on your part, and I think you'll still find me, but it's like... idk, imagine if after day 1 of MLP I'd never had the time to do what I did (while silenced lol) on day 2. It's just gonna be harder.

That being said the village reads do actually still spook me but I don't have any other reason to be sus of genny or samac at the moment so I'm letting it ride. And samac's progression on me felt natural. Idk who else is village reading me, I think I've mostly been in neutrals which is my sweet spot.

I want a more specific explanation of what aspects of her play here are ringing the same as her play in FE3H. Like, describe it for me, you don't necessarily have to pull posts, but not just "vibes", describe the vibes.

I wouldn't consider her wolf-siding last game. Genny was clearly in a position where everyone assumed she was an alpha (or stated that they would operate like she was an alpha), and she clearly thought it was easier to just let everyone think that because 1) wolves weren't going to kill her off because they had an easy target to point to and be like wellll here's a wolf and these are her reads, 2) villagers were probably going to take any "I'M NOT A WOLF" posts as wolfy, so she played the smart game and joked around that hmmm yes maybe she was an alpha after all. I find her posts similarly easygoing in this game. She was also appropriately sus of me lol

I strongly toneread people all the time and then say “he/she sounds the same as x game” with no further context.

It annoys AM and isn’t necessarily a compelling way to convince people of my case, but I like to think I don’t have terrible reads when I’m running on tone.
 
Also, regarding the tone of miranda:

I found the tone of miranda to be very similar across both the noob game (although she was only alive until N2) and the wolf game. I seered them for different reasons and got lucky. I find miranda to have a similar tone this game as the last game as the noob game...until the sassiness (as pointed out) after I voted for her. And I want to say miranda's tone after I called her out last game and she defended herself was pointed as wolfy, so I would not be surprised by a different strat this time on purpose.

I also feel like I've given my other reasons for voting miranda. It's been pointed out to me framing is not common but eh. I did it a lot in TOS when I was mafia, so maybe a new wolf would do it in WW. Even besides that, I have the reasons I listed before then, it was just kinda the final nail in the coffin to me.

I finally need to go eat dinner lol

You sorely overestimate what gay Ingrid does for your pocket when you’re also someone I have not found a single wolf tell for.

Also, to be honest, I am not enthralled by the idea of reading the thread yet

It bothers me because you just say "tone" without even referencing which game the tone is matching. Then said tone flips wolf 50% of the time. So it's not enough for me.

Dont think you seering them is the same scenario as your case here. In FE3H , you seered them because they got some sus the previous day too right? Miranda handled it pretty different imo.

Like, I wouldn't fully clear miranda because of the tone, but I am for sure okay with them being alive for now because I find the tonal switch in such a brazen? Way to be unlikely for miranda to again be a wolf.


Also, Miranda died N2 in the noob game right? Like one of the first to die. Don't think there was much of a tone to compare regarding casings and stuff. I mostly say this because seeing at miranda case you, I feel like seeing them for the first time pursuing a wolfread they believe in, if it makes any sense. Like, its a DISCOVERY

I tone read people as both village and as wolf, and I do try to pull specific games if I can, but you know my WW memory is shoddier than dubz’s irl memory.

But I understand that it’s not a style you’re probably ever going to mesh with. But I can’t really do much about that. It’s how I find woofs best.

Yeh, I kinda felt that and what I thought that voting for you was going to add non-productive pressure. Letting you vibe and figure out tomorrow what to do with you is the headspace Im at rn
