PaWWsta - The Game that WWrites Itself (Game Thread)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Oh that reminds me @Animal Midwife I never got my apology when you tried to steamroll me D2 of Numbers when you very self-assuredly proclaimed that I was a wolf.
Sporty, you never had more than one vote at any given time and the wagon and completely gone hours before EOD.

That’s not the point I’m making. I wasn’t in danger of dying.

I just don’t like when people act like they know things for sure when they have no reason to be any more sure about things than I am, barring mechanics.

I just want my apology, dang it.

samac pls, it's only been 19 minutes, that's well under standard writeup wait times
It’s my write up and I need it nowwwwwwwwww.

This is part of why I stopped playing so much 10pm close times are not my friend. I’m an old lady.

I don't understand what the apology is for. Could you clarify? I was running on fake flips for the overwhelming majority of the game (literally until I died myself) and did the best I could with being death tunneled by half the roster.

Hey Dubz, I’m getting the impression you’re not village reading AM.
I must always poke AM at some point during the game. Gotta do my due diligence.

Plus it's my birthday month, and that means I am basically 30 and can push her :heckyeah:

I’d have to go back and look for context but basically you woke up D2 and started proclaiming with unwavering certainty that I was a wolf and there was no other alternative no matter what I said.

and I said boy I sure do hope I get an apology for this when you realize you’re wrong.

It’s not even relevant to this game, I just remembered I didn’t get my apology.

See this:
Then I expect an apology when I flip. There are far kinder ways you could behave right now.

And by the end of day, I had rescinded and never voted you again for the rest of my time alive.

Day 2

Zenge tried to tell me just now that this was the pest-o both worlds, because we have differing opinions on how fun ties are and their outcomes. But in fact, it was more like a "here's a tie! Look how beautiful! Pesto, change-o, POOF! It's gone."

Again. 😡😡😡

No worries. I'm not that upsetti spaghetti. I'm crazy pho ties, yes, but this disappointment, too, shall pasta. Just like my tie pasta-way for the second day in a row. The noobs laugh in the face of ties, they say "we ain't alfredo no ties!", but they'll learn their lessons soon enough. And then you'll hear my chortellinis from miles away.

She'd been so smooth, some would say she'd weaseled basiled her way out of suspicion for the first day. Wow, that one was bad. Anyway. But by day 2, the water was boiling, the noodles were roiling, and she was starting to feel a little hot under the collar.

"I'm new!" she begged. "Please, give me a chance, I made a fusilli mistakes, but I'm learning as I go!" But the noodles were unimpressed with her cries.

"Who puts veggies in noodles, anyway?" they exclaimed. "We're all about that gluten, here, where's the wheat pasta? You're probably some zoodle or something."

She sighed, feeling betrayed by her chlorophyll, feeling like it had left her chloroflattened. There was no recovering from this one. She chalked it up as a learning experience, and sadly headed back to the pantry to think about what to do next time.

IMPASTA

_________________________________________________________

It had all started with the game writing itself.
It really did! The idea just materialized, like a dough coming together.

And then Zenge said no, and a dog's whines were heard for miles, until finally he relented.

It made so much sense. Everyone knows that the perfect pasta is al dente, that perfectly toothy bite, just enough give, no crunch. A matter of timing perfection.

"We said basics ... compared to the far end of the spectrum!" she argued. "Besides, it's too funny to leave out."

4 days. 1 mission: to wolf-side and to village-side. Demonstrable evidence of both to succeed. And that she did.

RNG knew she'd be perfect for the role. After all, she'd said that sometimes her wolf hunting started great and then fell off a cliff, ending up al dented. Often it didn't start off the strongest, but ultimately was worth every penne.

After reaching al dente perfection, it's essential to remove the noodles from the water so they don't overcook and fall apart. She smiled at the sweetness of feeling herself lifted out of the water, heading to a salt-free salvation. It was prepastarous - she'd done it!

Night 2

If she had a penny for every time someone said "a penne for your thoughts," she'd still have a lot of med school loans in her future.

Ow, too real? Too real. Too late.

... but it was worth every penne.

She'd been doing the best she could. Fighting a busy schedule, hunting for impastas, she'd been one busy noodle - not to mention catching all the puns peppered throughout the write ups. And she'd caught people's attention - for the right reasons, she thought.

During the night, she heard a voice from a shadowy corner. "Hey, you're looking really suave. Where'd you get that outfit?" came a murmur.

She paused, uncertain of this voice's motives or who was asking. But she didn't see any harm in answering.

"J.C. Penne," she responded. "Who is asking?"

Silence greeted her.

"Hello?" she called nervously.
"Hello! Hello! Hello! Hello!" was the return. Mocking her.

"You know, I'm not afraid of you," she retorted. "You're nothing but a creepypasta."

"Is that the game we're playing?" A shiver went down her spine. She wasn't sure who was talking, but she was worried she might not be stroganoff to overpower them.

The voice was closer. It sounded menacing now. There was a growl she hadn't noticed before.

"The pesto's yet to come! Grab a knife and call yourself Atkins," the voice crowed. "It's time to cut some carbs."

She turned to flee, but it was too late. She felt the sauce flooding all around her, and she took a deep breath, but it was too late.

As the world faded to black, the sauce worked its way deeper into her lungs. Some would say it ...

penne-trated them.

It is now Day 3. Vote closes on Sunday, 2/11, at 10pm EST/9pm CST/8pm MST/7pm FST (~48 hours).

Vis – I don’t think his entry to the thread was sus, but of course now I’m him. Anyway, it was clearly meant to be a joke.

Veggie – also quick to jump on the Matt sus, but she’s dead now and we know she’s a wolf anyway.

Veggie sus on her justified after this post lol

I’ll admit that I’m skimming over Matt’s posts.

AM – or be like me and consider overcompensating and always sussing your most beloved humans! :Heckyeah:

chic –I think chic is a good enough noob given past WW/mafia experience to get on a co-wolf early, but I don’t think the CONTENT of this post aligns with that… so heavy village points.

[PaWWsta - The Game that WWrites Itself (Game Thread)] – I find it HIGHLY improbable that a wolf pack would bonk a noob wolf for something like this, for the record. At least in a way where they’d tell him to make such a sudden switch off his self vote.

SAR – also an early Veggie voter

Matt – contemplating this post about Wonda’s defense making him feel on edge. Will come back to that later. Maybe.

Why are there multiple dead people tagged in this post? Why am I tagged in this post?

Also, I don't think "explaining" any of matt's posts are useful. I want your thoughts, not his.

I... am not explaining any of his posts except for like that first one. I literally can't, because I'm not in his brain. I'm contemplating the response to his posts.

Let me do my pbpa, dang it.
I want to see reads/interpretation on living players in future pbpa posts please

AM we go through this every time I do a big catch up.
And if you click on your name you would see what I'm responding to, clam down.
That's why I asked. I clicked and it didn't make sense. Could you explain it?

Also, my point is not to "read" these dead players like you always imply I am. Reading a dead player's posts post-mortem is still useful in developing feels on other players. And I know you are aware of that.

Well, AM.

Presumably that will happen at some point in the next 20 pages, given an undeniable increase in the ratio of living players.
Yes, I'm aware. I just would appreciate if any thoughts on dead players were omitted altogether unless their post(s) is being used as support for an argument on a living player.

see my above post. That is the point.

And the chic read was made before write up was posted.

Could you explain the joke?
I was joking about how I set Dubz firmly in my sus list instead of getting cozy with her because we're buds.
